Completely shocking. At the beginning I was intrigued by the plot and trying to understand everything, then I was amazed by how everything changed and at the end I was just thrilled. I would definitely watch it again sometime. Very dark, twisted, crazy.

Finally I got a chance to see this one! I love it! The Skin I Live In is a really messed up psychological drama about loss and vengeance told in a very stylish way. This film is so good that it didn't let me breathe. Great narrative, beautifully shot, phenomenal acting, and lots of twist and turns. It did a great job of building the suspense. There were moments that made me very uncomfortable but I just couldn't look away because of the way the story unfolds and I didn't want to miss anything. Brilliant take on mad scientist/rape revenge story. Absolutely thrilling and haunting.

Pedro Almodovar is a twisted genius. This is like a Spanish Park Chan Wook film, although maybe Park Chan Wook films are Korean Almodovar films. Mysterious, beautiful, tense and creative. As usual Almodovar explores themes of gender, sex, patriarchy and control. The result is a dark journey with a touch of revenge. The ending wasn't as ambiguous as I'd hoped but it was a treat overall.

Disturbing. Shocking. Pedro Almodóvar is a genius. Also Banderas in his best moment.
