After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.
What a great movie! It was way better than I expected. Though one thing I'd change - the length. I wish it was longer!!

This is not the movie that will cure your superhero fatigue, so if you suffer from it – just go see something else. I really don't understand why people who've fallen out of love with superheroes still force themselves to see every Marvel movie. pretty weird behavior.
(And yeah, it's also pretty weird to still be salty the new Cap is black. Get over it.)
Anyway, this is a fun movie with interesting characters, Harrison Ford doing a great Thunderbolt Ross, and a bunch of neat callbacks to the very beginning of the MCU. The villain works well, Harrison Ford shows us why he's still a big effing deal, and generally all the pieces work well together. Recommended if you like this sort of thing.

Damn, Cap can do all of that without the serum?? Well I guess that proves Black Cap is the best Cap there ever was. Also, Giancarlo is a national treasure. Also also - more Anthony Mackie topless, but no more Harrison Ford shirtless ever, ever again.

Actually, a sequel like this was needed for the Marvel universe. I like the old Captain America more, he seemed more likeable. How many movies did he play as Captain America since 2011? Maybe he got tired or he made his own decision to withdraw and return to the time when the events never started. You never know, you might see him for a moment and he comes back. Anyway, when it comes to the movie, I can't say it's perfect, but the Marvel universe needed to progress in some way and I think Captain America made a very good start after Thanos. The acting is very good. There's no need to discuss the effects anyway. The script is good. It doesn't get boring while watching it, but it's not such a perfect movie. I don't know how they progress, but the universe is very wide and a new hero constantly emerges. For example, the previous series. I'm thinking of watching this movie again on the computer. Thank you for your efforts and definitely give it a chance. The new Captain America is really good.

I went into this movie expecting to hate it, as I have with some of Marvel's recent films, but I walked out genuinely loving it.
The story builds up nicely, and the villain they set up feels like a real threat—exactly the kind of adversary Sam’s Captain America should face in what I hope is the first of many solo adventures. Anthony Mackie carries the film with his usual charisma, handling the weight of the role exceptionally well.
While I do miss Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, at no point did I feel like Mackie wasn’t the real Captain America. The identity crisis Sam went through in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier truly pays off here. He owns the title, and he feels like Cap. More importantly, the world in the movie treats him as such, which is all we need to believe it ourselves. The film doesn’t waste time rehashing that conflict because it doesn’t need to—Sam is Captain America, and the story moves forward with that in mind.
Harrison Ford’s portrayal of Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross was something I didn’t realize I needed, but he delivers in every scene. Nothing against William Hurt’s excellent take on the character, but Ford brings a presence that makes it feel like he should have played Ross from the start.
One of Marvel’s biggest missed opportunities here was keeping Red Hulk under wraps. If the reveal had been a true surprise, it would have elevated the movie significantly. That said, the story stands strong on its own. It has clear direction, emotional stakes, and a compelling character arc. In fact, one of the biggest surprises was how much sympathy I felt for Ross, of all people—something I never expected.
The action is top-tier, seamlessly fitting the tone of a Marvel thriller and spy film. It complements the pacing, which is tight and engaging. The Red Hulk vs. Cap fight at the end shows us that it's noticeably clear that Sam is just a normal human with anything but his determination and tech to help him. Which is a question raised in the movie, why didn’t he get the super-soldier serum and become super himself? And I think that’s something they should explore in the future.
However, the villain—while initially compelling—feels underwhelming by the end. Given how much of a threat he poses at the start, his defeat feels almost too easy, making the climax feel somewhat incomplete. This, along with tonal inconsistencies, makes it obvious that the movie went through a chaotic production process. Some sections feel vastly different from others in style and execution.
The first 20 minutes almost confirmed my worst fears—bad dialogue, jarring cuts, and flashy action to cover up what seemed like a weak Captain America movie. But then, the film actually starts, and from that point on, it proves itself. Despite the production struggles, it manages to come together into something genuinely enjoyable.

Captain America: Brave New World shifts gears from the usual Marvel spectacle, delivering a political thriller in the vein of The Winter Soldier and The Manchurian Candidate. It leans into espionage, power struggles, and real-world consequences rather than nonstop action, though there are still plenty of standout moments that showcase Sam Wilson’s unique approach to being Captain America. His use of strategy, flight, and Redwing—alongside his vibranium-enhanced gear—makes for some exhilarating sequences, proving he’s a different kind of Cap but no less formidable.
Harrison Ford brings weight to his role as President Thaddeus Ross, whose history with the Hulk plays into the film’s broader themes of control and responsibility. The story also takes strides in connecting past MCU entries, reinforcing The Incredible Hulk’s place in the timeline and teasing future developments that will excite long-time fans.
More than anything, Brave New World is a film about what it truly means to be Captain America. Without super-soldier serum, Sam Wilson stands as a hero purely through skill, conviction, and determination—an idea explored in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and expanded here. The film’s deliberate pacing may not be what some expect, but it delivers a gripping, intelligent story that challenges the notion of power while setting up intriguing possibilities for what’s next.

Wasn’t too excited for this film the way marvel has been lately and the falcon and winter soldier show was so boring, but I was surprised how much I liked this not saying it’s Marvels best work because it’s not but an improvement for sure.
Doesn’t feel like a marvel film most of it is more of a darker tone which I liked the story wasn’t rushed ,and they took there time with President Ross turning into Red Hulk was a very well done scene.
The villain was a decent character and his look was quite cool.
Overall definitely happy with the film don’t get why so many low reviews I get that the hero normally has powers but it’s good they are trying something different , although I do think they should of just called him Captain Falcon or something nobody can replace Chris Evan’s has Cap.

As much as I fucking *loved* William Hurt as Thunderbolt Ross, not much can be done about replacing an actor after their death if you wanna do the Red Hulk storyline. I'm honestly still amazed Marvel got Harrison Ford for this; he just *really* doesn't like nerd fandoms after being mobbed by Star Wars fans for the last 50 years, and I honestly thought that after he finally convinced Lucasfilm to
kill Han Solo like he'd been wanting since Empire was in development,
that he'd stay far the fuck away from comic book movies. Ford may not be William Hurt, but he was a big get for this movie.
Hey, the MCU finally addressed that Celestial's body in the ocean; maybe now the detractors will shut the fuck up about it.
And, ***damn*** the Wakandans hooked Sam *up* with that suit; don't need any super soldier serum when you're rocking that drip!
Oh shit, Ross wants to restart the Avengers initiative? Too bad he seems to be planning on Hulking out instead.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Adamantium." Goddamn, it still takes some getting used to hearing "mutants" and other X-Men related words in the MCU after a decade of Marvel needing to dance around those words as 20th Century Fox still owned the entire X-Men film franchise's rights, including those copyrighted words. And, yeah, we got to see Wanda body a few characters from Fox's old holdouts in Multiverse of Madness, most notably Professor X -- how many times in 25 years do I have to watch that man die? -- and we got a whole bunch of Wolverine love in DP&W, but hearing Thaddeus Ross say "Adamantium" -- even though he was telegraphing that reveal by saying it was stronger than Vibranium -- just felt so surreal. But in a good way.
Whoa, I knew from the trailers that Isaiah was somehow going to wind up imprisoned, but I wasn't expecting it to be for an attempted assassination of the POTUS! I just assumed the government was gonna fuck him over again. And goddamn, Torres, that chair hit looked *brutal!*
"I can't go back inside, Sam!" God, the way Carl Lumbly delivered that was heartbreaking.
Looks like Sidewinder's "buyer" can predict the future *and* he's packing some serious ammo in that revolver! "You're desperate without your gear." LMAO, Gus Fring goes flying and gets the wind knocked right out of him!
I know people hated Anthony Mackie being the new Cap -- for *obvious* reasons they can't even try to keep contained -- but Sam's giving off a lot of Steve Rogers vibes, which bodes well for this movie and his future as Captain America. I knew Tim Blake Nelson was coming back as Sterns, but I'd kinda forgotten how obsessive Ross was about keeping "abominations" like Sterns in a dark hole, so I wasn't expecting *The* Leader to be the buyer behind everything.
Uh-oh, Harrison Ford is back on Air Force One again, and that usually doesn't pan out well for his characters on that plane. Man, any thoughts of William Hurt as Ross disappeared the second Ford slammed his hand on that table when he found out Japan was heading for Celestial Island; don't get me wrong, Hurt could've killed this role, and I kinda would've loved seeing how *his* Red Hulk looked since Marvel does the motion capture and tries to model the Hulks on the actors' looks. But Ford barely able to control his rage when he says, "I was a wartime general, I'll be a wartime president" was just so damn good!
Sidewinder cut a deal; smart move. While The Eternals was a big and flashy entirely forgettable entry into the MCU, at least it left the door open for an extraterrestrial -- scratch that, intraterrestrial -- source of Adamantium after 26 years of the MCU not being able to acknowledge its existence; kind of an easy way out of trying to explain why the mineral is suddenly on Earth. Oh, shit, all this time, I assumed that Ross knowingly and willingly dosed himself with those pills he knew would make him Hulk out, and even orchestrated everything, because that does seem like the kinda thing the MCU's Thaddeus Ross *would* do. But now it's looking like he has no clue what's *actually* in those pills keeping him alive...
Red Wing attached to the shield, brilliant! Even though he's likely dead of old age by now, I'm sure Steve would be so proud of Sam thinking like that.
Bucky! I'd heard rumblings/rumors of a surprise cameo, and I was honestly hoping it wouldn't be Steve Rogers since his sendoff in Endgame was *perfect.* Liv Tyler back was the "safe" bet for me, so Bucky being the one to show up to offer moral support to Sam feels *just* right, given The Falcon and the Winter Soldier; which, by the way, is actually really damn good, fucking haters! "He gave you that shield, not because you're the strongest. But because you're you!" "Steve gave something people to believe in, but you give them something to aspire to." Potentially future Congressman James Barnes, a super soldier assassin who murdered Tony Starks' parents on behalf of Soviet Russia dropping some much needed truth bombs; well, you know this is certainly a work of fiction, because just being the Winter Soldier alone, with his ties to the Soviets, would make Fox News and middle America hate him!
Yep, turns out Ross had no idea those pills keeping him alive were pumped full of the same Gamma that created *the* Hulk. I kinda feel stupid now for assuming Ross, who fucking hated Banner/Hulk and Abomination would willingly put himself through the same process that created both. "And Betty will despise you even more." Betty being the biggest trigger for Hulks to lose control in this franchise seems just right. Man, Ron Popeil's GLH canned hair should've looked into Gamma radiation to get rid of those gray hairs and bald spots! Because Ross has a nice thick head of black hair now! Oh, yeah, shoot at the new raging Hulk, because it's not like you guys have had 18 years (movie is set in 2026) to learn that the equivalent of throwing snowballs at a raging Hulk only makes them angrier.
Boy, the Washington Monument is the Eiffel Tower of the MCU: if it's in the movie, it's gonna get *fucked!*
Ross being sent to The Raft seems fitting, but considering that Steve Rogers dismantled the place to break everyone out, something tells me it ain't gonna fare so well holding a Hulk. Oh, shit, the Disney check cleared and Liv Tyler *is* back! Guess that was her voice on the phone; thought it might've been a recreation of lines already used in 2008's The Incredible Hulk.
"I wanted to be you. That pressure? That responsibility? I wanted that too, man." Welp, that very much solidifies Sam Wilson as Captain America to me; black, white, Cuban, Mexican...doesn't fucking matter. Bucky was right: Steve handed the mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson because "you're you."
