Great watch. loved the premise and execution. Don't listen to these other comments about it being "woke". They obviously don't have comprehension skills and missed the point of the "woke" moments, its just a comparison of what is accepted today vs the 80s. You just have to use your brain every once in a while and not write it off because your intolerance to the slightest change since the 80s.
I liked this one! Alot! As a Being who is into cheese, cringe of awkward 80's pop culture stuff then you might enjoy a few things in this film... Think like Back to the Future had a baby with Scream. I sure as heck enjoedy this flick, goin' in blind and I didn't even see the trailer, I just read about it on Amazon.
Was a fun movie people… just have fun and don’t think it to o much
Back to the Future meets Scream in this comedy, sci-fi, slasher about a teenage girl who travels back in time to stop a serial killer that has been terrorizing her parents' friend group since they were in high school. It is absolutely hilarious to see a gen Z-er navigate the 80s and to see a visual representation of the Mandela effect in real time. It wasn't perfect, but damn was it fun.
I LOVED this movie. It’s okay, judge me. It was the perfect Halloweeny movie for me. Silly horror with a sci fi flavor. I thought it was hysterical. Also what a great cast. I’d definitely watch again and again.
Of course the picky people on this site who love throwing stuff a 1 out of 10 or 2 out of 10. Threw this either a 1 out of 10 and 2 out of 10 lol.
Come on, this isn’t a Happy Madison movie or a bad a spoof movie noir is half the stuff you hate on here.
I like comedy horror movies that throw in stuff like being stuck in a Horror movie, living the same day over and over again or switching bodies. Now there’s a time travel horror movie, count me in.
This captures how an overly privileged child of this generation would react to being stuck in the 80’s. Yes gym class dodgeball was pretty much like that lol.
Okay so this was definitely a very fun and enjoyable slasher movie, but seriously… the way I would have just peaced out of there so quick if I were Jamie and let them all die cus they genuinely sucked so much at first😭😭
In the end I really loved the parents though, so I’m happy she saved her mom this way <3
I had a lot of fun with this one and I think the way they did time travel works perfectly fine. If you go back, change something and it causes you to stop existing you wouldn't be able to make the change in the first place. The Marvel solution fixes this too but is just kind of BS and makes time travel almost pointless. The DC solution... they were on something. Totally Killer hits a nice sweet spot for practicality, simplicity and versatility. I'd love a sequel or spin off.
This was actually a good movie. Do not overthink when watching. Just enjoy! Happy 2024!
This movie is a fusion of back to the future meets scream. Both movies are referenced by Kiernan her character, so it seems on purpose.
Don't set your expectations too high with some highly intelligent movie, it's just a fun piece of nonsense that does not take itself too serious.
Enjoyable enough.
