Four Christmases

Brad and Kate have made something of an art form out of avoiding their families during the holidays, but this year their foolproof plan is about go bust -- big time. Stuck at the city airport after all departing flights are canceled, the couple is embarrassed to see their ruse exposed to the world by an overzealous television reporter. Now, Brad and Kate are left with precious little choice other than to swallow their pride and suffer the rounds.

I got really into the movie and it was great! Until the ending, it was sudden, and well, not good.

A good Christmas movie that explores the often-stressful experience of visiting multiple family members during the holidays. The film's comedy is top-notch, with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon delivering great performances that keep the laughs coming. While the film doesn't necessarily break new ground in terms of plot, it's still an enjoyable watch that captures the spirit of the season while also highlighting the challenges that come with navigating family dynamics during the holidays.

I enjoyed 'Four Christmases', even if it does gradually drop in quality throughout.

I found the premise and set-up of it entertaining, the execution may not be perfect but it leads to a satisfactory Xmas comedy. The plot does get slightly repetitive, but there's enough in there to keep it watchable. They also, smartly, keep the run time low at 88 minutes.

Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are a fun pairing, I felt the necessary chemistry between the two. Elsewhere, the likes of Robert Duvall, Jon Voight, Mary Steenburgen and Jon Favreau all make noteworthy appearances.

It's good. If it kept up the strong start then I'd be rating it a tad higher.

Way too gross & vulgar to watch as a family, but it did have some humorous moments.

Good-ish but not great. The funniest parts are in the trailer. I predicted the ending within 5 minutes of the beginning, so it's pretty much your average Hollywood formula for "comedy/storyline" - substitute 'Chrismas" with practically any other subject and you've got the plot and jokes.
Fair time-waster when very little on TV.

>"Your grandmother's boyfriend is a first-class ass-sniffer! And you can tell him that I said so."

Oh no... my fiancé looked at me during the movie and shrieked "Yikes this is us!!!" and she is right. Who wants to visit family when you can have a badass Christmas trip. Future me might hate that I wrote this.
