I had so much fun watching this. I went in blind, probably just in the right mood and mindset.
I don’t remember ever seeing a horror romantic comedy before — and honestly, I never thought that would even work — but they fully embraced the goofiness needed to pull off this unusual blend.
Don’t get me wrong, though — it has plenty of plot and script issues. My rating of 8 is probably more than it really deserves, but like I said, I had a fun time watching it.

To be clear, not the most unique movie concept. If you like your Happy Death Day / Scream movies, this is right up your alley. Classic, feel good slasher.

This was great! I had no idea it was a rom com before I put it on, I was expecting your standard slasher movie. But they really knocked it out the park making fun of the romance tropes while also playing up the slasher elements.

the only issue I had with it, was that it was kinda predictable on one point:
Jordana Brewster. She's played a villain often enough that it wasn't hard to guess her character was in on it. I had my suspicions from the start, thought maybe there were two Heart Eyes and she was one of them. Then thought I was wrong when the guy at the drive in was killed and the other one was revealed to be the IT guy, but then she revealed herself. a killer throuple! haha!
Still a good movie though. An easy watch, something fun to put on that you don't need to pay a whole lot attention to.

Without question, the best slasher killer romantic comedy I've ever seen.

This movie was a massive crack up. The jokes were better than expected and the gore is over the top funny as well. I actually think the messed up genre mixing is what makes it watchable.

That was fun! A good mix of romance and 80s slasher vibe. Some pretty interesting kills - I especially liked the
couple having sex in the van (the camera shot through the hole in the head), and the beheading on the St. Valentine statue.
The plot twist of
of the cop as one of the killers
was both unexpected and unbelievable. The mid-credits scene was a great call-back to the beginning of the movie.

An unusual mix of horror and romantic comedy, which uses the clichés of the genres in a fluid, intelligent and well-timed way. The result is a fun, violent movie with hilarious scenes. Plus, the great dynamic between the characters ensures an intense pace. The combination of all these elements makes for an unexpectedly cohesive experience.
