Catherine Zeta Jones’ character is annoying in this one. Makes Zorro think she is leaving him for another man. When she is just under-cover, yet expects him to stay away. While she poses as the girlfriend of the villain and doing god knows what with him.

I enjoyed the original Banderas Zorro movie so much that I was really looking forward to watching this sequel. Man, was I disappointed. The story is paper thin. Maybe thinner, but they didn't have electron microscopes in 1850 to be able to see this. I guess my main beef was the way they blatantly stole little parts from other movies thinking no one would notice or care. For example, when the priest got shot, I immediately thought of the scene in _The Three Musketeers_ when Aramis was shot by the Cardinal and the bullet hit his cross. I thought to myself it they used the same stunt here I would gag. Well, they did but I managed to hold off on the choking. The train sequence made me feel like I was watching _Back to the Future 3_ and of course you had to have the Asian bad guy from _Shangai Noon_. There were some nice special effects but the whole sword scenes have been done to death in recent movies so there really wasn't anything new here. Alfred Nobel would cry if he saw this movie and how they butchered his pioneering on nitroglycerine. Thumbs down.

Don't involve the audience in your marital problems please. That kid, Adrian Alonso, is good in this movie. Almost all of his reaction shots are full of intense emotion. We liked him.
