As the streets of Los Angeles overflow with camera-wielding gawkers seeking to capture images of a bizarre police pursuit, the same people who sought to exploit the suffering of others for amusement on the Internet become the stars of a gruesome viral video from which no one gets out alive.

I was left with a lot of questions??? The first two stories about magic capes and parallel worlds were somewhat interesting, like The Twilight Zone, but the latter part started to let loose, going all bloody and bizarre, but the amount of blood spilled was not as great as the previous one.

A lot better than VHS 1 but still average at best. VHS 2 is the one to watch.

Compilation films of this type have always been hit and miss, but surprisingly, this is a decent effort that (despite the other comments on this page) is better than most. The VHS connection is tenuous, but that's the only real fault here.

I ate spicy fried chicken and mashed potatoes while watching this. The fried chicken was all that I enjoyed during that 84-minute spam of time.

I hate to say it but VHS Viral is a subpar final effort into the series. Where as I enjoyed at least one segment greatly in the previous movies this isn't the case here.
The wrap-around this time is easily the worst of them and ran it into the ground. They handle what ever idea they had very poorly and even have useless filler in it and don't get me started on the silly ending!
Anyways, the first actual tape wasn't my cup of tea and another waste of concept. They also fail to keep it pure found footage.
The segment from Nacho Vigalondo (who is probably the most acclaimed of the directors here) is a more nasty twist on his Timecrimes. If you wondered where the sci-fi footage for 'Open Windows' was made, look no further. Coming out as the best entry it's still nothing to write home about and gets a tad bit too far into kitsch territory (at least the effect works makes it so).
Closing out the collection is a GoPro PoV skate movie set in Tijuana where hell breaks loose. Unfortunatley it overstays it's welcome and doesn't really do much. Given how great Benson and Moorhead's Resolution was it's certainly a bummer.

Fun fact: This was originally one of the segments in V/H/S: Viral, but at the last minute was cut out because it did not fit the found footage mold like the other segments.

I thought this was an intriguing watch and the most ambitious entry in the V/H/S series. It’s all visuals and no dialogue. However, while I liked the visuals, it does feel like a music video. I mean, if you mute the short and play the song The Perfect Girl by Mareux over it, which amazes me how well it fits.

That was fucked up...

Not because it was particularly scary or disturbing... well, wait a minute.

In one way, the film is disturbing. Because in contrast to the first and second part, this one is... with a **HUGE** distance the most unnecessary and above all the most arbitrary of them. Not speaking about the (in relation to the other two movies) bad CGI.

Not only that the main plot is super confusing, but also that everything I've seen here today is so absurd, and I've never seen it before...

This time, we have on sale:
A demon-possessed cloak that feeds on humans and seemingly forces the wearer to do evil things.

A hobbyist building a portal to a mirror world inhabited by weird-penis/vagina-sex "humans" performing strange rituals (this one just gave me brain fucks)

A group of skaters who go to Tijuana to produce a video where they stupidly stumble into some kind of skeleton-cult-army, and they also unbelievably kill skeleton after skeleton

Admittedly the last, as far as I remember, is the first time in the series that anyone survived on a tape from the "victims"...
Yes, and then we still have the main "plot", which I convince myself that it wants to be socially critical in some way, but is still completely illogical, unrealistic and not very revealing any answers.

I personally see this film more as a waste of time, but if you're in the mood to see things that you can't even imagine on the heaviest drugs, then this film will serve you well.
