Surprisingly, considering the director, the actual riots are given little screen time. This is still a heartfelt peace, and whilst it is set in a specific time and place, the struggles of LGBT community are still relevant today. A better film could have been made but it still brought a tear to my eye.
disappointed. definitely disappointed. the movie, as it was made, is just a fiction with a very few connections with the reality it tries to depict.
