Along with Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian and Sicario, Creed is one of the best movies this year. I'm looking forward for the Blu-ray release to enjoy the behind scenes features.

This movie hits for me the way the original Rocky must’ve for its generation. The best boxing yet, Jordan’s charisma and earnest underdog energy, Thompson getting a meatier role than Shire tended to and owning it, and a heart that beats so hard makes this a flawless classic. This watch I was thinking about the context Rocky V and Balboa add to it, the contrast made between Adonis and Gunn, and how Rocky was in the same spot Adonis was. He was arguing for the chance to do what he loves, damn the risks and what everyone else thinks, because he has the right to. And so does Adonis. Stallone has never been more charming and heartfelt than here. I was cheering and fighting along in that last fight, and there’s no higher a compliment to be paid to a film like this.

Seen this a few times. Going to call it my second favorite Rocky film officially because it can't exist without the others but damn is this movie amazing. So great. Also amazing it came out in the same year as two other awesome #7s...Furious 7 and Force Awakens. Love it!

Somehow, this movie seems to fit the criteria for both a remake and a sequel. Obviously, yes, this film follows the continuity of the franchise up to this point (even Rocky V for some reason). But while doing that, it also makes the story feel like a "What if Rocky took place in 2015" plot. I could see someone possibly finding that to be a fault, but I really loved it. Our main character is different enough to be interesting while tackling these difficult odds.

But don't let me forget the direction on this film. I loved almost every shot, every edit, and every musical cue. The fight scene in the middle of this film is all one continuous, uncut shot. Probably put together digitally, but still freaking awesome. If you enjoy the Rocky franchise, you'll enjoy this great epilogue.

Rocky Balboa is back and he is the biggest legend of boxing, even when is not boxing.
Creed comes with Apollo Creed's son, Adonnis, who wants to fight, but never knew his father and wants Mr. Balboa to train him, that's the story. Very simple but there's more.
I had no expectations for this movie, and i'm still very surprised for what i've just seen, one of the most impressive things from this picture it's the magnificent direction by the young Ryan Coogler (who did an amazing job on Fruitvale Station), everything is edited very well, there are a few long takes which are impressive, even in fight scenes, it's hard not to punch the air during the fight scenes.
Michael B. Jordan redeemed himself (after the horrible Fantastic Four) and brings a very charismatic Adonnis Creed, the great Tessa Thompson is the new Adrian Pennino, and Sylvesyer Stallone brings his best performance ever, no doubt this is the second best movie of the Rocky franchise, very strong and very, very, very emotional. Ludwig Göransson's score it's one of the greatest points of this picture, bringing pieces of the classic Rocky theme, a lot of hip-hop beats, and orchestrated sound, makes it almost perfect.
Even though this film recycled elements from the first film, it's one of the best ones from the franchise and you must see it now, i mean, right now ! 9/10

For me, "Creed" is the only sequel to the Rocky series that really comes close to the quality of the first movie. That said, neither the final opponent is particularly noteworthy here, nor is the training montage outstanding. Everything else, however, outshines the other sequels. Michael B. Jordan is able to carry the film as the new protagonist effortlessly. His chemistry with his co-stars, most notably Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson, is also out of this world. Stallone is as good as he's ever been as Rocky, too. Meanwhile, the production values are top-notch. The sports movie formula is executed to perfection. The final fight, then, is perhaps the most strongly choreographed of the entire series. The baton has been successfully passed from Stallone to Jordan.

This is my favorite Rocky movie. It is just so well made. This works as a reboot but has so many callbacks to the others. Ryan Coogler is one of the best directors working today. The cinematography is just incredible. That middle fight scene all done in one take is something special. The others are good too, much better than any of the previous movies, but can't live up to that one. Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson are both great but it is Sylvester Stallone who really steals the show. After playing this character for so long he is still able to bring so much more to Rocky. This is probably the performance of his career and I'm sad he didn't win the Oscar.
