I thought the movie was slow, but interesting. The last 15 minutes or so made it all worthwhile. Anyone who can think, will know why it ended like it did. It will hit you emotionally.
I think if you're expecting a thriller like most other thrillers you'll be left feeling like nothing happened here, but in reality this is a very deep movie that plays on insecurities and different elements then you'll find in any other movies. No, nobody kills anyone, so for probably 4 out of 5 people who expected this to go that typical route this movie may fall flat, but if you're looking for a realistic tale between a couple that plays on insecurities and infidelities then this movie is pleasantly surprising.
Well, I guess I saw a different film to the other reviewers on this page. Visually beautiful, dreamily shot, this was an engaging drama that drew me in from the start. There is much on offer here, provided you aren't expecting a cookie-cutter thriller.
i think this should be under the genre "psychological" instead of "thriller" .. n i understand the disappointment of ppl cuz it's deceiving, to watch a movie thinking its a thriller but end up with a slow slice of life psychological movie, unless the thrilling side is the disturbing background music just to make u on edge most of the time --"
anyway personally i liked it quite a lot, plot very captivating i was 100% concentrating on what happens next.
SPOILERS : idk who to blame more tho, she cheated on a guy who has been taking care, but he was so messed up n unstoppable !!! so idk
ending was very confusing hope it was much simpler
This is another movie where you scratch your head at the end and are left with only theories about what happen because the movie never tells you clearly. Good cast delivering solid performances. The story was a slow burn and it never gave us any more than vague suspicions which of themselves were too weak to drive the tension needed for a thriller. I give this a 6 (fair - based solely on performances) out of 10. [Quandary of a Drama]
All I See is You is billed as a mystery/thriller but really lends itself more to mystery than thriller.
I thought the acting was good enough to detract from the story, but the story itself wasn't enough to carry the movie. Anytime something interesting happens, you quickly catch on as to what is happening. There was some good tension throughout, but nothing more than an okay mystery.
This one is skippable.
A blind woman gets her sight back and discovers she isn't married to Colm Meany but a dollar store knock off version. Hilarity ensues.
There's some nice photography here, and Blake Lively gives a decent performance - as much as could be expected with the wafer thin story line.
Creepy husband guy has control issues gets off on having a blind wife, she regains sight, so he gets all bitchy about it. They travel for no apparent reason to see her sister, and that's a whole strange thing unto itself. There are people and plot points that go nowhere. Big surprise, her husband has been sabotaging her eye meds and she starts losing her sight. They're both suspicious, blah blah.
It could be an interesting thriller, but it just comes off as mediocre... there's no real surprises. OH NO! THE HUSBAND 'robbed' their house. OH NO! He's impotent in a couple senses of the word, and her one infidelity leads to pregnancy. The idea of hiding her sight from her husband could have happened much earlier if you really wanted this to be a thriller.
Two-dimensional characters, messy plot and a pretty disappointing ending.
It couldn't be more unnecessary. **Antagonist** is so annoying to watch, **side characters** are extremely dull and Lively's acting has nothing new to offer. Looks like they shoot the film in a lunch break. Total waste of that lunch time.
