The crazy gay yearning of two men on the opposite ends of the depressed spectrum is what hooks me in every Goddamned time.

Mindless plot and superb action sequences. Animation was far better than I expected.

Not bad, the choreography of the fights okay, the final part too incredible

Outstanding animation let down by the most generic of plot lines. A replaced Wesker and 5 minutes spent on a boring revenge story couldn't even be saved by fantastic battle sequences. A waste of potential.

Decent and entertaining enough action, but the story has gotten too convoluted to follow unless you're a big Resident Evil fan. It nicely ties the end up finally, and I wonder if this will be the end for this variation of the series...

I'm currently on a binge-watching spree of all the Resident Evil animated movies, and so far, they've been a blast. The animations in this particular one are exceptionally well-crafted.

I also appreciate that the writers kept the plot concise and didn't stray too far from the games, avoiding the creation of complex narratives. If I were in the mood for that, I'd turn to the live-action series with Milla Jovovich. That series took a different path, crafting its own universe from the straightforward plot of the Resident Evil games. It has a unique vibe, but it's enjoyable in its own right and comes highly recommended.
