Oof! I mean, I don't want to hate, because I love the dude that directed this, but man... Repugnant is a pretty apt description of this one. It's just soo tryhard in its attempt to recreate the Grindhouse style, that the juvenile humor and effects just come across as cringeworthy... It's a shame really, as the comic book origin actually seems pretty cool.

A tryhard attempt at making a trendy throwback b-movie that doesn't manage to make it's "whacky ideas" interesting. The mediocre no-rats-ass-given-about story gradually makes certain to suck out any enjoyment you might have had left.
