Another classic Hitchcock that is intriguing and full of suspense as one is used to by the master.

Hitchcock, Bergman & Peck - star power from old Hollywood combines for a very good thriller. Totally worth watching.

An interesting film with some nice twists, a few of which you can see coming. Hitchcock doesn't disappoint here. While the movie is a little slow to start, it becomes satisfying as it nears the finish.

Ingrid Bergman is very good here and Gregory Peck is just okay as his character is in a funk throughout most of the picture. The ease with which the psychiatrists analyze Peck's dreams was rather silly. The Salvador Dali-inspired dream sequence was very interesting. Not the best Hitchcock movie but still entertaining.

Bergman and Peck are both luminous in this; pity that the psychoanalysis stuff is patently ridiculous. I think Hitchcock does better when his interest in subconscious urges are explored more...subconsciously (see, e.g., Vertigo and Rear Window) and here it all devolves into so much psychobabble. Still, if you get past the myriad issues with therapy stuff and approach it as a romantic crime caper it's all decently fun. Just not one of Hitch's best.
