The Collini Case

Quite a nice movie but nothing too special. Felt kind of anti-climactic in the end.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but was impressed to see how well Elyas played a more serious character, Franco Nero was heartbreaking.

At first I was a slightly disappointed about yet another nazi twist but in this case it was so well executed and such an important topic I didn’t know about until today. It’s shocking that facts like this and many more sadly only get brought to awareness of the open public through films and TV productions. It’s rarely mentioned in educational history books let alone history school classes. Every young German adult should learn about this. What a fucking shame.

Like riding the country roads of your hometown, it's a nice time for a Sunday drive but it's unnecessarily complex and you already know all the twists and turns.

_The Collini Case_ is another Nazi reveal courtroom drama, although it has the added benefit of teaching us...

[spoiler] about a 1969 German law which says any war crime killing committed during WWII is qualified as a murder, and the statute of limitations for murder is 25 years, so anyone German who committed a war crime during WWII can no longer be tried (under German law). [/spoiler]

It was a crime-based drama film!
A man kills one of the country's officials by being in the presidential office.The story is about the lawyer of this murderer.A young and novice lawyer with a fighting and strong spirit.
After learning about this case, he notices something strange.The person killed by his client is one of his acquaintances and that person has done important and great things for him!
At the beginning of the work, the lawyer doubts which way is the right one, but then he chooses the right path and finishes his work in the best possible way.
After a lot of research about the motive of the killer's murder, he finds out a truth. But at the end of this movie, everything changes and a strange thing happens.
