I was just scrolling through a suggested list of horror movies to watch from Netflix and this was the first that I hadn't already seen so I gave it a go because I'd already scrolled through so many.
I had zero expectations because I hadn't come across it before and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
Nothing about it felt forced, most of the acting was pretty decent, the locations and cinematography were wonderful.
That the zombie virus was a Nazi creation, I always suspected.
it is curious and entertaining
Like mom's tuna salad, a lot of work goes into it but it turns out bland and forgettable.
Without risking too much, without any innovations to contribute, Malnazidos delivers discreetly in a product whose main course is to be found in the performances and the mise en scene.
[Netflix] Following in the footsteps of "Overlord" (2018), Nazi zombies are now part of the Spanish Civil War, presented more as an adventure movie than a horror story. As in the previous films by Javier Ruiz Caldera, action works better than humor, and the construction of the historical setting is, to say the least, incongruous. There are some good performances that can do little to bring dead characters to life.
A standard zombie action affair that hits all the same beats and has nothing original to bring whatsoever, but admittedly slightly enjoyable. This one's basically just as generic as generic zombie films go. Although, the characters are all interesting, the action parts are fun and there's a few laughs here and there, I can't help but feel like it fails to deliver on its potential and never really distinguishes itself from the rest of the bunch. Overall, it's a pretty fun time but can't give anything higher.
