Like a boxing match with the invisible man, Sweat is a brutal watch where you don't realize how many punches it lands until feel the bruises when you stand.

Sweat is a makeup-free look at a fitness influencer who makes the mistake of posting something sincere on Instagram.

As it's a character-driven film, it leans heavily on the lead actress Magdalena Kolesnik, and she carries off the role with breathtaking finesse. In addition to her stunning performance, director Magnus von Horn tells Sylwia's story through stark closeups and silences like fake nails on a chalkboard of skin.

Sweat will make you sweat, not from the work out but the work out it puts you through.

It is not easy to identify with the protagonist in this representation of the false reality of a youtuber, dedicated to building a fantasy around her. The inclusion of real life through the family and the stalker destabilizes the lie that she sells through social networks. But the reflection seems as superficial as the reality that the film presents, and there is less creativity than other reflections such as "Zola".
