Sweet film about ageing and companionship. Presented in a homage to French new wave by Mia Hansen Love - Leah Sedoux resembles Jean Seberg and is outstanding as a single mum trying to deal with her fathers descent into old age.
7.3/10
One fine morning, but shadows remain.
Its all fine. The acting, the script, etc. Fine. The problem is that at no point did I ever really care about any of it.

Mah, a well-acted family drama which does not say much, and it not even have a definite and conclusive ending. It seems more a film written with the only intent to catch a specific audience.
Like a brick, this film is mundane, simple and goes nowhere, except at least a brick does us the kindness of having a beginning, a middle and an end.
The writer / director is happy relating the surface of normality without feeling the need to explore, examine or celebrate it.
