Absolutely gripping film. It's clear from the outset that this is going to be quite unsettling even though the horrors of what the boy endures are only implied. Two very strong performances from the main characters and an emphasis on demonstrating the mundanity of the everyday life that Michael leads outside the horrible crimes he is committing. Not likely to generate many repeat viewings but still worth watching
