Ok, this was a good movie. Storyline is not unique, but the way it was executed is amazing. Yeah something to watch on a Sunday afternoon with family.

Why they changed the kid in the middle of the movie? I blinked my eyes and the little girl turned white! So... wtf??

This was an interesting watch. Alternate realities depending on the outcome of a one single event and a decision. In my view both journeys had equal merit. We will all come across similar decisions in our lives, although the decisions might not necessarily be this dramatic. The longer you live, the more you'd wonder "what if?". Every time we took one job offer while rejecting the other, decided not to pursue a romantic interest, or opted to stay in instead of going out on a weekend, we create forks in our life journey that could have taken us in a completely different direction had we chosen the opposite of the decision we made at the time. That's the whole premise of this movie and it shows both sides of the coin toss.

PS: Lili Reinhart looks a lot like Brittany Murphy. It took me a while to realise why she looked so familiar.

I liked the fact that she ended in different guy in each version, but had the same profession and goals, like you can be happy with different people as long as you're loyal to yourself.
Beyond that, the hardships felt insignificant. Only child of well-off parents who are first disappointed by the baby, but afterwards are all on board (financially as well, that's a big one).
Also, she's hardly a teen mom, so it was an early pregnancy, but not something extremely difficult.
So a good entertainment, nothing too jolting, the acting was good enough for me, since there wasn't too much depth to begin with.

From Netflix come the captivating character drama _Look Both Ways_. At a college graduation party Natalie takes a pregnancy test and the timeline splits (a la _Sliding Doors_) where in one timeline she’s pregnant and decides to have the baby and faces the challenges of being a single mother, and in the other she isn’t and goes off to LA to pursue a career. Lili Reinhart gives an excellent performance playing two versions of the same character; showing subtle differences and character growth as their paths diverge. Additionally, the script is well-written and does an impressive job at balancing the two timelines and at distinguishing each of them so that the audience always knows where they are. And the message of the film, that there’s no one set course for our lives and that whichever path we choice, it will have its ups and downs, is remarkably refreshing. An entertaining and provocative film, _Look Both Ways_ has some interesting thing to say.

Intresting story about what if. With romance and wholesomeness (kinda).

The acting in the beginning isn’t that good (mostly from lili) so it took some time to get in the story. The acting became better further into the film. Sorry lili but the acting wasn’t that great, it could be because you have that “riverdale” image. But beside that it was a decent film for a girl night or just when ur bored.

Rating: 7, it was enjoyable but not really good movie. Concept was good and the product was pretty decent. Could be worse and better

A decent romantic movie about a topic probably most of us contemplated about at least once in our lives: what if? What if one thing had happened in a different way, altering our lives forever?
Look both ways plays with this thought in a simple, rather Hollywoodian way. There are no really deep messages or actions here, and thankfully no major or cringeworthy drama either; it's just an easy movie for a Sunday afternoon. Glad to see Lili Reinhart gradually escaping her Riverdale past/present.
I would also love to see a movie with this topic that is deeper and more contemplative (probably by a Scandinavian production, that would elevate it as they typically handle harder topics in a marvelous way).

It's an interesting concept for a movie but unfortunately the execution is quite bland.
Unfortunately both divergences play out pretty much the same but with slightly different variables so consequently, by the end, it feels like a movie that was retroactively made about a "what if" because they couldn't decide on a plot and just shot both. Another thing is that timelines are bit confusing to follow in the beginning, then they introduce the haircut as a way to better guide the viewer but this is flipped near the end and kinda goes back to a bit confusing. Likewise, many topics that were explored (like postpartum depression, the hardships of co-parenting, long distance relationships, plans not always working out especially with non-mom Nat) weren't really explored in a way that was compelling and the film ends mostly brushing them off. So this paired with the extremely similar outcomes for both Natalies, come off flat because stuff just kinda works out for both of them so her getting pregnant or not wasn't really that big of a deal. Just her getting a kid and a different boyfriend.

So what was the point of the movie? Is destiny real and no matter what you do you're gonna end up the same? Don't plan cause shit is gonna go haywire anyway? I get it, it a Netflix rom-com but that doesn't exempt it from trying a bit at least. The one saving grace is the cast.
Strong potential, couldn't get there. If you got 2 hours to burn, it's harmless.

Choose to watch it...and your life will remain unchanged.

Don't choose to watch it...your life will remain unchanged.

So, no matter which path you decide to take, know that this bland movie will have no effect on it whatsoever.
