I was surprised how good and funny this was. So worth the watch.
a fun romantic comedy. The "Plays" were great to watch them being pulled off. It was slow at first but fun to watch.
A cute romantic comedy. Not amazing but funny and happy. Very predictable.
From the trailers, this looked fun and entertaining and it was for the first 45 minutes. Gina Rodriguez and the group dynamic were the most enjoyable part. As a comedy, it has its moments but when the double date scene arrives it becomes so cringe and all over the place especially when it comes to a not-so-believable ending.
Film 122 (Goal: 300) of 2024:
A standard modern day streaming comedy. That's not a bad thing, but it's ultimately forgettable and another sign that most comedies that are remotely decent, are aiming for acceptable not great.
The cast is generally okay with specifically Liza Koshy (more of her please) being a delight. The usually great Tom Ellis is muffled under a character that ultimately goes nowhere. That's not his fault, but the script gives him nothing other than charming. Augustus Prew flirts the line of becoming a caricature but ultimately manages to ride on the side of being enjoyable. The weakest part of the film is ultimately the forced loved angle between the two leads. While it's clear from the first scene that's where the story is heading, and both Damon Wayans and Gina Rodriguez are enjoyable enough, their chemistry is ultimately light and doesn't warrant investment.
Imagine a girl trying to build a serious relationship
Four friends work together, probably in a publishing house. This group forms a team specialized in a different kind of game. They play a game where the goal is to make the girl date the person she wants, no matter how difficult it is. In one of these fleeting relationships, the girl falls for an inspiring person named Tom Ellis, a famous writer. She then tries to turn this casual encounter into a love story. Will she succeed in finding her love or not?
The movie’s story is entertaining, even in its ordinary settings, and the subplot alongside the main story is nice. The acting is fairly average, but the film has a strange energy. It is a drama-comedy with a straightforward script. The movie isn’t outstanding, but it gives a hopeful vibe and is good as a casual watch for the evening.

Generally "no". But, the fact is, the press is declining.
Don't know why I wasted my time. If you hate yourself then watch this $hit and punish yourself.
No one other than Ashely is good character and everyone else is just bad.
Who gave this pile of crap the green light to be filmed?
Watched it for 25 minutes that was 26 too long. A comedy? Which part? The part where the viewer waits for something funny to happen and it never comes along - joke's on you!
