Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

I thought this was an amazing movie. It's called slow, but I don't think it's ever a dull movie. Really good story in my opinion.

This movie is really awesome, I can never get tired of it.

Is it a great movie? No, not really. But it's been a long time since I cried this much.

Such a lovely yet bittersweet ending...

I didn't read or watch anything story related so the story felt a little more natural than average romantic drama and also there are some movies that every time you watch you feel something different and I think this is one of them, it will age with you.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is a dark romantic comedy with heart. As the Earth faces destruction from a meteor collision civilization crumbles and two unlikely friends go on a road trip in search of their ideal places to await the end. Steve Carell and Keira Knightley star in this unconventional tale and give excellent performances. And the script is especially well-written, artfully balancing the comedic and tragic tones of the film. Yet within the satire about how we face life and death there’s hope. Entertaining and fun, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is a smart, thought-provoking black comedy that has a unique charm and beauty.

Nice movie, solid from the beginning to the end.

Yeah, it's a slow movie. Doesn't make it bad tho...

In my view, this is a good mix between The Invention of Lying (2009) and God Bless America (2012).

The story is pretty good - it throws out of the window some of the conceptions we have about the world (like women being picky or everyone gunning for a CFO position). And it's kinda unexpected that the world really ends (which is good) so you don't have to see last minute salvations - Armageddon anyone?

8/10 overall.
