This still stands as my favorite in the series. Sure it's a bit hokey, and the acting may leave a bit to be desired, but this is a thrill ride that never lets up. The gore is soo insane and over-the-top that it almost pushes the film into camp territory, and the accidents are soo elegantly choreographed that it leaves you both cringing and with a smile on your face.

This is where the real fun begins. Elaborate crazy death scenes and not everything goes the way you expect. So much better than the first. I love this one. It's hilarious!

All I will say is if you get nearly impaled roll out of the way just in case. It was funny to see a Young Noel Fisher from "Shameless" and in the end him dying like that was crazy!! I guess you could say death is shameless.

“On the highway to hell...” _Final Destination 2_ is a fun and exciting film that’s full of thrills. It starts with a spectacular highway car crash sequence and continues with a series of increasingly tantalizing and suspenseful kill scenes as Death’s design plays out. Ali Larter and Tony Todd return, and are joined by A.J. Cook and Keegan Connor Tracy. Director David R. Ellis has a good feel for the material and is able to balance the horror and the comedy while providing the right amount of story to keep the film moving without getting too convoluted. Exceeding the first film, _Final Destination 2_ is a wildly entertaining horror film.

for the visions were many...
for we are gone...
I liked the deaths too smoky but that's the charm...
in the end it didn't matter?
they survived?

Slowly upping to gore, which it doesn't need in my opinion, the idea of death coming for you is haunting enough.

Excellent follow-up to the first movie.

The opening sequence is fantastic right? Those damn logs, fire, chaos, it has everything! I also really dig how they expand the story and the way to beat death. The ending is predictable but so damn funny.

Ali Larter is back too! Such a pretty lady! She's here to help the new victims of death! AND SHE'S STILL ON THE LIST TOO!!!!. Damn Death's list must be long. And damn, what a way to go for Andrew of the first film. Killed by a brick.

Anyway, the death are more brutal, the story is better and it all looks much smoother. In the end Final Destination 2 is a damn fine sequel!

This movie always comes to my mind as soon as I drive behind a log truck.

This movie knows exactly what it is. It takes the concept of death as an enemy to beat from the first movie and runs with it, while shedding the philosophical undertones and dramatic seriousness of the first movie. Which makes it camp, but it is quite enjoyable.

The dialogue is atrocious, the acting is terrible. But that's not really why you are watching this. The opening sequence is one of the greatest car crash scenes ever filmed. The amount of planning that would have had to go into that, the editing to make it all workable is really amazing. It also came out in the glory days of the combination of practical and cgi effects, making it all blend it perfectly together. It really works well and is executed expertly.
