Jerry Maguire

Jerry Maguire used to be a typical sports agent: willing to do just about anything he could to get the biggest possible contracts for his clients, plus a nice commission for himself. Then, one day, he suddenly has second thoughts about what he's really doing. When he voices these doubts, he ends up losing his job and all of his clients, save Rod Tidwell, an egomaniacal football player.

_"You complete me"
"Shut up. Shut up. You had me from hello."_

Absolutely iconic. A film that goes beyond the typical romance or even romcom film stereotype.

I am a "redundant" fan of romance stuff. If I feel like it I see it, if I don't I don't, in other words, I don't make a point of seeing it, I'm not an avid viewer. But, Jerry Maguire... The joy and pleasure I get from reviewing this masterpiece surpasses any feeling I get from watching other works of the genre.

The genuineness of the performances by the lead actors (my love Tom Cruise and the great Bridget Jones, Renée Zellweger) makes the viewer create a certain empathy for each character's story. Additionally, Jerry Maguire is not the typical romantic comedy. The attempt to convey a side story of Jerry, through his sudden realization, is the real impetus for the viewer to wonder about his attitudes and the attention we pay to what is material.

According to a Forbes article (2020), one of the most iconic films of the 90's. For me, one of the most iconic films ever.

I leave you with this quote:

Classic movie giving you plenty of thoughts about life, love, adventure that you can think of. I saw it more than once and never found it boring.

What a classic! They don't make movies like that anymore, times have changed.
It's not about sports as much as it is about being loyal to your principles, heart, integrity and importance of the family.

>"I just want to be inspired."

This is a classic with so many memorable lines that have been quoted for 2 decades. If you have seen other Cameron Crow movies you can tell immediately that this is his film by the cinematography to the storytelling. Fun fact: Didn't realize until this rewatch that it is based on an actual sports agent that represented Troy Aikmen.

Both romantic, and motivational at the same time, I liked it a lot, I've been watching the earliest Tom Cruise's filmography and he has been very talented since the beginning of his career

It was nice to see Renee Zellwager too, I didn't saw her in anything since Chicago The Movie
