Le Principal

Sabri Lahlali, the assistant principal of a local high school, is ready to do anything to ensure that his son, who is about to take his high school diploma, has the ideal academic record. But he doesn't know how far his enterprise will take him.
Like when your dad wheedles you into do something for him, Le Principal will coax you into liking it despite your knowing better.
On the surface, this straightforward family drama is too cliched to garner much merit, but the force given the lead role by the ever-impressive Roschdy Zem, the interesting and well-executed moral dilemma combined with the affective touch that reached me personally (a control freak father who takes too much control) all worked with the satisfying ending to convince me that this film was better than it seemed.
