Kid Snow

A washed-up Irish boxer named Kid Snow is finally faced with a chance to redeem himself when he is offered a rematch against the man he fought a decade prior, on a night that changed his life forever. When he meets single mother Sunny, he is forced to contemplate a future beyond boxing.
Enjoyed this immensely because of the path it took in not making it strictly about actual boxing, or the stereotypical 'down on his luck could have been contender finally succeeding' storyline, but more about the relationship between brothers and the life of a boxer travelling to and fro performing for the public in order to get by. It's a mostly dreary film because of this but the tone is lightened by the camaraderie of the troupe. Essentially, it's about the two brothers, and Sunny, the newest member of the troupe, escaping the baggage of their past. The subtlety of the acting brings that out in a very real way.
