The Longest Promise

From the Kong Sang Continent comes the tale of the tumultuous love story of Princess Zhu Yan of the Chi Yi Tribe and Royal Prince Shi Ying, The framing of the Queen results in the Prince being banished to Jiu Yi Mountain to cultivate. Once solely focused on his tasks, he develops romantic feelings for his disciple Zhu Yan. But their student/teacher relationship prevents either from expressing their true feelings. Fate then works against them when they choose opposing sides in a political struggle of life and death proportions. Eventually, putting aside their issues, they pledge to protect their beloved Kong Sang Continent.
Despite the high budget , good props and CGI this show fails terribly in the plot and characters running in circles with any improvements.
Xiao Zhan is stoic (i guess the character demands that from a priest) and Ren Min is very very cute but has only expression ; the excitement for everything and the sour grapes when she is pouting or sad.
There are some good cast but their characters are overshadowed by the main couple and slowly we loose interest in the show, the plot which pulled me into this show has unpacked around 10th episodes and then onwards there wasn't really anything exciting except for the Supreme Priest for some reason trying to push the priest into mortal world with back hand tricks and the opponents who try to kill to him at every chance when Zhu Yan does something stupid to make Shi Ying vulnerable again & again ... so we endup bored with the constant barrage of repetitive plot points .
