If you're looking for a heartwarming and enjoyable anime, I highly recommend watching My Happy Marriage. This anime beautifully captures the essence of love, commitment, and personal growth within the context of a heartwarming romantic story.
I really love this show. The animation is beautiful. The portrayal of miyo is great and the romance is refreshing. But i think it suffers from bad pacing and the the second half of the show taking more away from their relationship growing and going into the supernatural abilities took some enjoyment away. I think if it have had been longer and more balanced out between the drama and romance it could easily have been a 10
Beautiful aesthetics with a poetic undertone. Personally, I think this is a slow watch and not a binge-watch anime. The protagonist is someone who has been beaten down to resignation, but it is heartwarming to see her bloom and see the quiet strength she has in her shine. It goes to show just how much a little genuine care goes a long way when you're walking through hell alone. I look forward to seeing her grow and develop.
Unfortunately I think I might have to move this one to my DNF list. I actually really did enjoy the first handful of episodes, seeing Miyo start to come out of her shell and begin to heal with people who actually cared about her. But the more time gets spent on supernatural abilities and the Usuba family, the less interested I get. Oh well.
The first 12 episodes were great and heartfelt, the second half ruined the whole series for me.
It's pretty heartwarming overall, but I think the execution was a little off. I'm not 100% sold on the concept or what messages it's trying to convey, but I'm intrigued enough to look forward to Season 2.
I need to comment on "My Happy Marriage." Talk about a two-faced anime! The first part is fantastic; the animation is spectacular, and the story hooks you in a way that I'd give it an 8/10 without a second thought.
But then the second part came and… it was terrible. What did they do to Miyo? She stays the same submissive and indecisive character from start to finish. I swear, I couldn't stand hearing her say "Danna-sama" dozens of times per episode. It's unbearable!
And the plot? It turned into a complete mess. The characters' motivations make no sense at all, and the resolution is completely absurd. It's like they threw away everything that was good in the beginning. Such a shame. The potential was huge, but the execution in the second half was so frustrating.
Watched all of season 1, but they could have wrapped up the show after episode 6. Once it got to the magic and bloodlines it was a bit less interesting.
love love love! i was so excited for this one since i read the manga before, such a cute anime but also a very good plot besides the romance, i loved the fight scenes and the animation :')
