Very well-produced and more exciting than these types of programs usually are.
This was VERY well made whicH, is not surprising, Dick Wolf's name is on it. I love when Law enforcement are allowed to be themselves truly. I loved them ALL, you can feel their passion! I especially love their unbiased respect professionalism and appreciation for their collegues by their skills and merits (as it should be) rather than any other silliness. even more amazing to me is their pride and celebration of unique individuals and their quirks which allowed their creativity and genius to flourish. it was so satisfying to watch on so many levels. the editing and quality of filming was excellent. they treated the victims and their families with respect not 'entertainment'.
I have such respect for them all but I do have a few faves of course, including every woman on that show who were brilliant, but to name a few... from NY: Ret. Death Investigator Barbara Butcher WOWWW what an inspiration! she's such an incredible presence! NYPD Ret. Homicide Det. Robert Mooney BADASS gentle giant. From LA: Ret. LASD Homicide Det. Mark Lillienfeld OMG I LOVE HIMMMMM! Ret. LASD CSI Elizabeth Divine Genius.
The documentary series is very uneven, there are interesting episodes but also some that could be skipped, as is the attempt to present the depth of law enforcement officers (their private stories).
Watching episode one right and I'm hooked
This one feels more like trying to clean up police's image than a crime documentary.
