I´ve been interested in the space race for a very long time and seen about every movie and documentary about it. Nevertheless this show was well worth watching because it tells storys that haven´t been told. It´s those storys about the people and what went on behind the headlines.
Mixed with original footage this show gives an insight at a time of great struggle but also great hope.
It's like Band of Brothers in space, it really is an amazing show. [11/10]
Largely because of the way it was filmed, this series doesn't look particularly dated. The story of the Apollo missions is told in a very straight-forward, undramatic way.
Excellently done and well worth a watch.
The entire space programme dramatized. It deserved it's Golden Globe at the time as it really wanted to make a miniseries that told everything about NASA's moon history. Hell, it even had a show about the women waiting on their astronaut husbands and an entire show devoted to the filming of "A Trip to the Moon" that inspired people to go to the moon. Phenomenal show.
