As season one begins, Astronaut and astrophysicist John Crichton becomes stranded on the other side of the universe when his Farscape module goes through a wormhole. He is taken in by the misfit alien passengers of the sentient ship Moya, a spacecraft that happens to be on the run from the militaristic “Peacekeepers.” Unfortunately, while the ship is docked and making repairs, Crichton tangles with a captive Peacekeeper named Aeryn --a beautiful and volatile woman who alerts her captain about the Moya, putting everyone on board in danger.

Man, the first half of this season is extremely subpar. Cheesy dialogue, really slow pacing and some bad direction make it almost unwatchable in 2020. I was afraid not even nostalgia would pull me through. Luckily, the second half of the season is _much_ better.

D'Argo remains a terrible 'warrior' throughout the whole season, though. That never gets better.

Rewatching this and only just heard Zhaan refer to D’Argo as a boy when he tells her his age. His behavior makes so much more sense when I realized he’s just a tall, muscular 15 year old.

yeah im having a ball in this bitch!

campy, wayward antics with freaky ass aliens to boot. love that they leaned into the fantastically weird. took me a while to get used to how ridiculously mechanical some beings and tech look(rygel is creepy af lmao)but i love this crew and all their hijinks. especially officer sun like that’s my girl for real lol. it’s only the first season so things could easily change but rn, it’s a barrel of laughs and shenanigans. as sci-fi should be!
