I know this is not everyone taste, but I really loved this show. It was kind of brilliant as it went on. The writing was good, the cast was top notch, the guest characters were so good. Mary Steenburgen is so funny, as is the rest of the crew. How the group interacts, it’s so much chemistry.

I think it is mostly turned down because of fortes foreground-dumb and childish humour, but he adds so much depth to the character, it’s just not that obvious at first.
It has its serious tones, but is basically a dumb and dumber end of the world like show.
The Choice and usage of music here alone has me cracking up so much.
I would have loved to see the journey go on a little longer, sadly, it was cut after season four, and I kind of don’t understand why. I would have guessed that it would either be cut after one season or go on forever.

The show does have funny moments and I do laugh. "Tandy" Phil is definitely imperfect in so many ways, but you do see him really trying. Carol annoyed me at first, but then she comes to be pretty much the only decent person among the group. I can't stand the rest. They act like they're perfect and yet they are very flawed too and pretty big jerks. I mean you have the other Phil who actually tried to kill Tandy and had a loaded gun but lied to Carol about it. Then you have Melissa who acts like she's so much better than everyone else. Todd went on about trust and he was lying the entire time. The chef and the Australian girl are just stuck up and for a chef to not even try to make anything they can eat, really? I know they need those characters to create conflict etc. but it gets really old after a while of them constantly making Phil their whipping boy when they're not totally perfect themselves.

Awesome show. I hope they keep this kind of genuine humor. Also that guy is hilarious I was sure that he'd be great as a starring actor when I saw him at How I Met Your Mother

I am a hard critic but I absolutely love this show. You know when you find a show that has the humor that you connect with? Well, this is one such show.

Don’t get me wrong, in the first few episodes Phil is a sexist loser (and episode 1 is dull as heck). He knows it and isn’t trying to hide it, and that’s the joke.

But stick with it because it turns into a romantic comedy with so many fun shenanigans. It takes off halfway through season 1, and then in season 2 it changes with Phil and Carol settling into a relationship, and while Phil is still a dumbass, he’s Carol’s dumbass and he loves her and he’s loyal to her.

There are so many funny and heartwarming things in the later episodes. Phil and Todd stealing quick “friendship kisses”, Phil accidentally drinking pee, and then taking another sip to make sure it was pee, and Carol being just a genuine person to all.

That said, it does get dark, but it is supposed to be post-apocalyptic and Phil manages to always see the bright side, even if it’s just a quick “ooh farts”.

So sad this show got cancelled unexpectedly due to the Disney-Fox merger, but at least there are 4 seasons for me to rewatch every few years.

If Will Forte reads this, please reboot the series or at least stop with the Macgruber stuff that’s so fricking stupid. This show was a perfect match with your talents and we want more!!!

This show was great and it is a travesty it ended on the cliffhanger that it did. It really needs to be revived to get a proper ending. The premise is awesome from the beginning, the comedy is outrageous, and the plot never failed to keep me entertained with each passing episode. Will Forte plays his role remarkably, the side characters are equally amusing, and the guest appearances are always on point with their own quality story arcs. If you like sitcoms like Raising Hope, you should definitely check this one out!

Average Season Review: 8.25/10

Recommendation:Must See (For Outrageous Sitcom Fans)

"The Last Man on Earth" has been an absolute riot so far through the first 3 episodes, adding its own unique comedic twist on a classic premise, and looks like it will continue to go strong throughout its first season. Will Forte is back taking on a slightly different persona from his usual MacGruber and channeling a bit of his own Tom Hanks in "Castaway".

While the first episode takes on a more serious tone, the second episode is where things REALLY take off and the show comes into its own comedically. Give this show a few episodes to see what it is really about.

Will Forte and Kristen Schaal have an instant chemistry that leaves me cringing and smiling at the same like classic "The Office" episodes featuring Michael Scott's best escapades. I can't wait until more of the rumored cast members show up and add even more wrinkles.

One last word. Fox, if you dare go "Firefly" on this show and cancel it early, I will not be pleased. That is all. Go watch this show now!!

The one thing I couldn't understand about "The last man on earth" that Phil had all the world in his hands and instead he chose to stay with all those people who clearly hate him, and don't make me start talking about the poor choices he always made just to get laid or to made everyone love him, if he could listen to me I would say : come on man, have some guts, take a car and leave
