Fuck the haters! This show was amazing! I loved the diversity and the anti-capitalist and socialist tropes! This is my favorite show now!
This show is all about capitalism and how the workers should unite against the elites for liberation.
Very good series with good actors, a great plot and a good ending of season one
‘Snowpiercer’: AMC Picks Up Season 4 After TNT Scrapped Sci-Fi Drama

Excellent show. The first season was primarily a murder mystery then morphed into a revolution. Can't wait to see what the 2nd season brings. Even though I always suspend my disbelief when it comes to science fiction shows, I still had a little bit of a hard time with the seemingly inconsistencies with the size of the train. Some of the cars look and feel normal size. While other cars look and feel like they're two and three times wider than a normal train car. Also, they sure seem to travel from one end of the train to the other (10 miles) very very fast. But other than that I loved the show - lol.
An amazing 4 seasons. Loved mel and layton became friends in the end
Snowpiercer is a bold reimagining of the 2013 Bong Joon-ho film of the same name—and rather than simply retelling that story, it expands it into a full-fledged world with deeper character development, new political dynamics, and a long-form approach to the central metaphor. It’s a rare case where a TV reboot genuinely justifies its existence and builds something fresh out of a familiar premise.
Set in a frozen post-apocalyptic world where the last remnants of humanity survive aboard a perpetually moving train, the series leans into class struggle, rebellion, and the thin veneer of civility that separates order from chaos. The train itself becomes a character—divided by strict class systems, governed by mysterious authority, and riddled with secrets. What the film hinted at in 2 hours, the show stretches and deepens across multiple seasons, with each car offering a glimpse into a different facet of this grim new world.
Daveed Diggs shines as Andre Layton, a former detective from the tail of the train who becomes a reluctant leader as he navigates murder investigations, class revolutions, and political power plays. Opposite him is Jennifer Connelly’s Melanie Cavill, the icy-yet-complex voice of the train, whose own arc explores loyalty, sacrifice, and control. Their evolving relationship is one of the most compelling threads of the show.
As the series progresses, it introduces new threats, rival factions, and moral dilemmas that keep the narrative momentum strong. It does occasionally veer into melodrama, and not every subplot lands, but the pacing generally holds, and the core themes remain potent throughout.
Snowpiercer doesn’t replace the movie—it complements it. The show turns a high-concept sci-fi thriller into a serialized political drama with teeth. While not perfect, it’s consistently engaging, visually impressive, and rich with commentary that feels relevant.
A strong, thoughtful reboot with plenty of steam. 8/10.
Snowpiercer was a mediocre show until Sean Bean appeared, and now I love it.
He’s completely turned the show around for the better. I adore Sean Bean and part of me hates him as this character; he plays it too well, just to see him on screen in this part makes my skin crawl and feel physically ill!
Season one started well, but it appeared to be turning in to a detective show and I was losing interest. A brilliant turn around with the story of Mr Wilford and his twisted and sick reality. Now I’m looking forward to each episode again, but there is only two episodes left of season 2. Here’s to a 3rd season.
I'm in the middle of Season 3 at the moment. The show is getting a little stale at this point. There are too many character arcs at this stage that makes it difficult to keep track of what's happening. It also looks like Jennifer Connelly is all but written out of the show at this point.
I have to drop my rating from 9 (Season 1 and 2) to a 7 for Season 3.
My god the ending was so bad. The actor that plays Andre Layton… by season 4, his acting skills stand out as below-par and theatrically cringeworthy
