There are so many references in the show 😂 It's crazy.
This show is for the people who loved Z Nation.
Also, the ending was epic, I wonder if Josh will join Sam and Mona.
I don't think it was that bad. It's definitely not a show to watch when you're in a serious mood. I'm actually looking forward to the next season to see how Josh copes with how the first season ended.
Besides "I-own-the-mall" armenian kid, I enjoyed the show.
Decent would be way better without all the typical Netflix wokeisms....
Sam Dean is a horrible person
A perfect 7/10. had a nice saturday binging it. ending was somewhat unsatisfactory imo...
Just because you got Matthew Broderick and you rip off Ferris Bueller sometimes shot for shot, does not make you Ferris Bueller. Not even post apocalypse Bueller.
**MY THOUGHTS ON DAYBREAK:**
_**-WARNING: Spoilers Below-**_
This show could be a **LOT** better. It has a lot of hate and if I'm being completely honest I can completely understand the hate. The show falls a little flat at times and can be quite disappointing, as a whole in my opinion I'd say the show was fair but **ONLY** fair. It wasn't awful but it wasn't good. You can tell they tried to make the show into this fun comedy drama and at times they succeeded and at other times they failed. I feel like this needed either a longer season or another season to kind of flesh the show out a little bit more but as expected they cancelled it.
The story could have been a lot better in complete honesty. The humour was sometimes there and the show had some solid actors but the plot itself was quite disappointing and the jokes at times fell a little flat. The show is good as a quick binge watch and then forgetting it exists but if you're looking for anything more then I just suggest you avoid the show, I feel like that's where a lot of the hate comes from - people wanted a lot more and the show offered nothing near people's expectations and if I'm honest the disappointment is completely fair in that case.
There were a few solid performances by the cast, my favourites were by Alyvia Alyn Lind as Angelica and Austin Crute as Wesley. Besides them two the rest of the cast fell a little flat and were quite boring. They had a few good jokes but when it comes to pretty much anything else they were quite disappointing. One actress that particularly disappointed me was Sophie Simnett as Samaira, I have never seen such a boring and irritating character in a show that only ran for one season.
One part of the show that really irritated me was the ending, it felt like such a massive punch in the face. I have **NO** idea what they were trying to do with the ending but whatever it was it didn't work. The ending was abysmal and in all honesty I can completely understand why the show ended up getting cancelled.
Overall this show was fairly disappointing but if you're looking for a quick binge watch then this show has potential for that. Besides a binge watch it isn't worth the time.
**Overall rating: 6/10**
I liked the story and development of Josh and Samaira. The pool scene is that kind of moment when you lose your idea of a woman when reality hits you. The other is just a mediocre mashup. I like post-apo so I could be there for that scene. Every man had in his head the imagination of saving the girl, just admit it :)
