Pagan Peak

Another excellent entry in the Cross Border Thriller genre, with the first season obviously modelled after The Bridge. Awesome acting, great characters who develop over the series. Some chilling evil with dark roots. Watch all seasons.

Dark crime drama in the style of nordic tv shows like „the bridge“ and „the killing“. This is a german/austrian co-production, which in general isn‘t a reference. But this tv show is on top of the genre. Better than most Hollywood productions, trust me. Oppressive atmosphere, supported by the winterly pictures, good story telling and character development of the protagonists and the acting is great, too, especially by Nicholas Ofczarek. Give it a chance if you like the dark crime genre, and you will not be disappointed.

A dark thriller that is built over three seasons with especially consistent development of the main characters. More interesting for the arc of the two protagonists than for the investigations themselves, the series reflects on the fascination with death that links the culprits, but also on the consequences of the trauma in the German Ellie (caused in an event that occurred in S1 ) and in the Austrian Gedeon (from childhood). Although there is some unevenness in S3 due to the absence of the original creators, it maintains a constant level of tension.

Absolutely brilliant. One of my favorite series alongside True Detective S01. Goes above and beyond German TV standards. Beautiful character development, very few plot holes as far as I could tell. You could of course tell that they were actors playing roles, but it could hardly have been done better. 10/10

Cool show but unfortunately no more shows are made available after Season 1 ep 4 on Fen or Seren using RD.
