Hawkeye

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Maybe because I had no expectations, this ended up to be a pleasant surprise. I loved it very much and if anyone loves the MCU should give this a watch.

THIS SHOW IS SUPER FRICKIN AWESOME AMAZING AND HAS DEFINITELY TAKEN SECOND PLACE OVER WANDAVISION AS BEING MY ABSOLUTE SECOND FAVOURITE D+ SHOW
WITH "TFATWS" BEING MY NUMBER 1.
CB ONE, KATE, YELENA WERE PHENOMENAL AND I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF ALL INVOLVED. WOW...JUST...WOW.
THIS SHOW HAD EVERYTHING AND WAS THE GIFT THAT KEPT ON GIVING EACH AND EVERY EPISODE. THE LOKI SHOW WAS GARBAGE TO BEGIN WITH NOW WITH HAWKEYE BEING THIS AWESOME JUST MAKES LOKI EVEN MORE TRASH,
where/how did it all go wrong for that show?).

HAWKEYE GOT IT RIGHT EVERY SINGLE EPISODE AND I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END AND IRONICALLY HAWKEYE WAS A BETTER RESPECTFUL SEND OFF FOR NAT THAN HER OWN SOLO MOVIE
BLACK WIDOW WAS.

THIS SHOW WAS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO GET IT ALL RIGHT AND THEN SOME.
I DEFINITELY NEED MORE CB ONE KATE AND YELENA IN MY LIFE.
10/10 PERFECT.

MORE THAN "A" FAN
ALWAYSTHATMARVELGUY

(HAWKEYE IS ONE OF THE MANY MANY REASONS WHY).

Continuing Phase 4's trend of delivering the goods, _Hawkeye_ is an airy, quick on it's feet good time that also manages to bring an unexpectedly down to Earth, grittier tone then one would expect from a show like this. Much of this is due to the casting of Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, who is simply amazing here and brings both a likability and vulnerability to Kate. Her chemistry with both a much improved Jeremy Renner (easily his best showing as the character) and the always excellent Florence Pugh carries the show, and the rest of the strong cast (particularly Alaqua Cox) helps flesh out the unique, sometimes even bizarre cast of characters here.

Bert & Berdie and Rhys Thomas do great work in action scenes as well as adapting Matt Fraction's style of writing, in particular taking elements from all kinds of 80/s/90s action films for influence. If you put his name on this, I could 100% believe this was a more family friendly Shane Black film, from it's witty dialogue, Christmas setting and influence, and complicated murder mystery storyline with personal connections. It's yet another strong entry in the MCU canon, and showcases how the Disney+ shows have consistently been some of the best stuff they've ever put out. Loved this!

There’s so much I love about this some the Christmas holiday vibes fitted the show so well, the plot was actually fun I don’t care what anyone says I’ll admit some parts were abit predictable but tbh most stuff are these days so didn’t bother me.

The comedy was fantastic in this with all the characters the tracksuit mob were so stupid you couldn’t take them seriously 😅

the relationship with Kate and Clint was absolutely perfect the comedy between both but also so many emotional heartfelt scenes that are great, Hawkeye was okay before but because he’s just a normal guy with no powers just very good with a bow it didn’t make him standout at all in the avengers films but this show like wandavision really made you appreciate his character a lot more.

No secret I’m kinda biased when it comes to Hailee Steinfeld as I love everything single thing she does she’s so underrated but even if I wasn’t a fan you can’t say she didn’t do a brilliant job as Kate bishop I really liked her character easily one of my favourite roles of hers now.

Was great see Yelena back and seeing her reaction to Natasha’s(Black widow’s) death she was once again hilarious loved her chemistry and humour with Kate.

So much was happening with quite a few side villains even Kate’s mother which I kinda knew from beginning the part was kinda obvious tbh. Maya was a great character who you actually felt bad for and understood her reasons to why she does things she does, the show did a great job of representing death people like Maya and even Clint.

The one thing I didn’t see coming until the last few episodes was freaking KINGPIN I love daredevil so much and he plays the role so well in that and is big reason why that show is so great so I was happy he stayed on as kingpin he’s definitely as vicious as ever and that cliffhanger I still haven’t watched Echo so excited to watch that.

Some people won’t like this show because most think your not a superhero if you don’t have powers but this shows a perfect example you can still be a hero with without powers.

Easily one of my favourite marvel shows very close with wandavision.

Alright, Marvel fans, grab your bows because _Hawkeye_ on Disney+ is here, and it’s ready to serve up holiday vibes, action, and some seriously entertaining chemistry between Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld. If you’re expecting this show to blow open the multiverse or drop some mind-bending revelations, pump the brakes—this one’s a little different. It’s lighter, it’s fun, and it’s got just enough holiday spirit to keep you cozy during the season.

Clint Barton, the everyman Avenger, is just trying to make it home to his family for Christmas. Seems simple enough, but throw in Kate Bishop—a 22-year-old archer with hero aspirations—and things get complicated fast. She stumbles into trouble with the _Tracksuit Mafia_, a stolen Rolex, and Clint’s old Ronin suit, dragging him back into a world he thought he left behind. What follows is a buddy-cop style adventure through New York City with trick arrows, witty banter, and a surprising amount of heart.

When it comes to performances, Jeremy Renner effortlessly embodies Clint’s no-nonsense, world-weary demeanor. He’s been through the wringer, and you feel that weight in his portrayal. Hailee Steinfeld, on the other hand, shines as Kate Bishop. She brings a mix of charm, determination, and comedic timing that makes her instantly likable. Together, Renner and Steinfeld’s chemistry is the backbone of the show, keeping things engaging even when the plot feels scattered.

_Hawkeye_ doesn’t try to compete with the cosmic stakes of _Loki_ or the surreal mind games of _WandaVision_, and that’s part of its appeal. It’s more grounded, with a focus on character development and personal stakes rather than saving the universe. Clint’s internal struggle with his past as Ronin adds depth to his character, giving him a more human side that hasn’t been fully explored before.

While the show keeps the action tight and fun, it’s the guest appearances that really spice things up. Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova makes an electrifying return, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez adds a fierce new layer to the story, and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin? A welcome surprise that raises the stakes in the final episodes. However, at times the show struggles to give all its characters enough room to breathe, and the pacing can feel a bit uneven.

But _Hawkeye_ knows how to hit those feel-good holiday notes, wrapping up its action with humor and warmth. Whether it’s Clint teaching Kate some trick arrow tricks or the hilarious rooftop fight with Christmas lights and Molotov cocktails, the show doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s the kind of fun, feel-good superhero content that fits perfectly with the holiday season.

In the end, _Hawkeye_ doesn’t aim to redefine the MCU, but it delivers exactly what it should—a fun, character-driven adventure with plenty of festive spirit. Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld are a winning duo, and with action, humor, and some heartwarming moments, this is a holiday treat worth unwrapping.

Final verdict: _Hawkeye_ hits the bullseye with its lighthearted action, charming performances, and holiday cheer. While it may not shake up the MCU, it’s the perfect superhero comfort food for the season.

The funniest marvel TV show ever.
It's based on the comics (Hawkeye by Fraction & Aja) and I recommend it, if you loved the series.

The show’s ok. As a stand-alone series, it isn’t very strong, but just because it’s connected to the MCU, it automatically becomes better. By the way, I truly hope that the musical stays in this series… good lord! It’s cringeworthy!
