As a neurodivergent person myself, the portrayal of Astrid is very well done. Allowing neurotypical people to have a glimpse into our perception of what it is like to be constantly processing ALL the data that surrounds you, and registering every excessive detail. _It is not a super power!_ And of course the struggles with sensory overload because of heightened senses. Yes, being overly sensitive to sounds, lights and smells really is a thing.:brain:

As a lifelong fan of crime dramas and French dramas in particular, I enjoy the series, despite the acting. Sara Mortensens portrayal of a neurodivergent is awful. I applaud the effort but there are times when her portrayal of the autistic main character is so far off the mark as to be borderline insulting to neurodivergents. It seems to me that she has spent no time around people with autism in preparing for this character and would hugely from doing so. Her eye movements depict a character on the verge of paranoia not sensory overload.
Clement Lagouarde gets this spot on as ‘Astrids’ friend Max.
There are other excellent portrayals of neurodivergents out there that she could learn from.
Lola Dewaere is fantastic, my first time seeing her in such a role and she nails it. A well rounded presentation of a character.
Otherwise, the stories are good, though a little far fetched. The cinematography is fantastic.

If like me you like crime stories that are somewhat believable, aren't far fetched, with good acting... then you'll want to stay away from this pantomime.

I love true crime which makes watching most crime fiction difficult to take seriously and this takes the cake.

Apparently the portrayal of autism is well received so that's a positive... But even that is grating. Yet another crime expert with a crippling condition but magic powers.
