1899

So angry they cancelled the show. I'm really considering to end my subscription. Every good show gets cancelled and shows like Riverdale or Elite that only get more random plots are being continued.
1899 was the best show that aired in 2022 I'm devastated.

This was a great followup to Dark. I was enthralled the entire time.

Very enjoyable indeed. Binged the lot and it was a blast.

You need to like mystery, sci-fi, subtitles (heavily used as there are migrants going to America) and having said that you need to be engaged continually to keep up.

There were a couple things that griped me, but it's more personal. I'm getting quite frustrated by the lead actor (not only in this show but others too), that has a husky voice and on top of that she is a quiet talker and whispers 90% of the time making it very hard to hear her especially the way these shows are mixed, always seems to have higher than normal background noise or music. It isn't all the women actors. Just damn annoying.

Then there are the predictables. But all in all the season engaged me, the actors held my attention.
The beetle... interesting. My overall rating for this season would be 8.5/10

Felt compelled to leave a positive review because season 1 was very engaging and fun, and I'm looking forward to S2. - it appears some people are so consumed with politics and tribalism that they can't even enjoy a TV show and have to leave negative reviews (such as the couple who have complained it's too "woke" just because there are gay characters - jeez). In any event, this is not up to the God-tier level of DARK but definitely a step above most genre shows. Unfortunately it shares a lot of similarities with LOST and especially Westworld that make it feel less fresh than it would have even a few years ago.

It's basically Dark except I'm onto them this time and looking out for all the turns :P

So annoyed this promising show was canceled, especially after how amazing Dark turned out.

Hard grinded this series, last episode comes as a bit of a surprise, so do miss out if you drop out early.
I would recommend and am awaiting Season 2
