Such a fun watch. Loved the acting performances. And just all around good.

It might be because it was my first sapphic movie, but it’s still my favorite sapphic movie.

It was a comedic movie that incorporates satire very well. It may have been a lower-budget film, but it was a good effort that is very light-hearted for anyone.

Watch this movie as the satire that it is, that way it's a great movie to watch feeling mellow with no desire to watch Yet Another Gay Drama™.

[8.5/10] My friends would be shocked to learn I hadn’t seen this one till now. I knew I’d like it, but I didn’t really know what to expect beyond that. Can you believe it was an absolute delight?!

It's a simple story, short and focused. The whole look and vibe of the movie are memorable, kinda surreal—vivid colors, exaggerated settings, and characters that are over-the-top in the best way. It’s playful, but the themes are pretty meaningful and grounded, which allows for it to hit harder than you might expect.

I laughed a lot, and by the end, I even cried a little. Watching someone finally accept themselves for who they are is so powerful, and it left me feeling very hopeful and seen. A joy to watch!

I was always hesitant to watch this movie as a kid. I had a hard time coming to terms with aspects of my identity and sexuality for a long time, and that fact made it difficult to approach. But now... I can see its quality, and its worth, as a hallmark of queer cinema. Am I particularly a fan of a lot of the gay characters being stereotypes? No. Are the technical aspects a little rough? Sure. Does that matter? Hell no. This is a good movie, with a good script, good characters, and I sincerely touching ending. I had a great time, and I cried at the ending.

A satire about something that’s not funny at all - conversion therapy. Overtly, it’s a comedy with a coming of age romance. Not so covertly, it’s doing what Queer culture has successfully been able to do in the last half century, face down hateful things by mocking them and owning them. I’d say it’s the queer version of conversion therapy. Ru Paul exemplifies this in this movie. Great cast of young actors who have since come into their own. I watched this after hearing it referred to by several new friends as a cult classic. I give this film a 7 (insightful comedy) out of 10. cool in a camp and satirical way, good to watch if u want smth light hearted

Like holding hands in middle school, this is sweet, cute, and entirely refreshing.

While this romantic comedy about conversion therapy goes too easy on some of the issues it confronts, watching it with my (gay) daughter was a great way to spend an evening.
