People leaving the bad reviews, must not have watched the last half of the movie. Which was very well written. And it was true, she had to grant everyone their wish.

A post apocalyptic fantasy western lol. I was expecting it to be terrible and indeed it was but it was also surprisingly good in many ways. Entertaining enough to keep watching if you have a soft spot for sword and sorcery and the post apocalypse. Some nice touches here and there like the snake, the moon clock, the quest map, and some set elements. Loved the church warrior chick with the aviator glasses lol. Will have your inner child from the days of high adventure grinning if you have one. It would have been the perfect Gamma Wold campaign and definitely has a role playing game feel. Dialogue was not so bad despite the mostly shitty delivery. Mila still can’t act after all these years and looks as foolish as ever but surprisingly not yet too haggard… her face tattoo is ridiculous and works to accentuate her big old schnoz. Batista has too much eye shadow. A real mixed bag of good stuff and crappy stuff with the crappy definitely in the lead. Cute that Mila and Bautista produced it together.

Never believe the low ratings. TBH, it's not good nor gripping story. It's' 90min, so dont over expect. But watch it for visuals. I love the color grading, gaming visuals... not feeling like a cheap movie.

There are a few filmmakers who make such movies now... I missed them. Madmax,300,King Arthur..

100x Better than the Anora rated 8. This one fairly can be 6/10. Just pass your time

I enjoyed this movie. A post apocalyptic western theme with a few interesting twists as we got towards the end, with a few surprises. :thumbsup_tone1:

I like all the ingredients but for some reason it just didn't quite come together for me. Overall I enjoyed watching but there was just something missing for me?

This film was based of George RR Martin short story. It has a lot more to discuss than what's visible.

The story of a lone witch who has a curse to never refuse requests from anyone. Her powers was tricky, creating illusion in the mind of anyone who has eye contact with her. The other part of her power was she could predict the future based on her action.

Her companion in her quest was a bounty hunter with experience travelling in The Lost Lands. His knowledge was initially the main reason why the witch recruited him in her journey.

Her quest was requested by the queen of a warlord king who wanted to gain the power of shape shifter beast, so she could be reunited with her lover, a shape shifter beast.

Yes, you've guessed it, the bounty hunter was the beast.

Paul WS Anderson, of Resident Evil, was smart enough to up play and down play the guessing games within the story. We'd guessed who was the beast and how the battles would play out, but Anderson trailed a different tale within the story.

Here's the spoiler: The Witch ended up with a powerful Beast as a companion in her life. But, how?

Watch it and find out.

While I do not share the comments that this movie is just terrible, I also think that they missed to make a great movie.
The base story is Ok, the acting is good, the visual and special effects are excellent.
The problems arise namely from the extreme way they use colour balance, namely yellow, that is just over the top and spoils the visuals.
Furthermore, even if the base story is quite good, the storytelling is just confusing and lacks necessary explanations that would have to be given to the viewer in order to get it. I did not read the book, but I believe that you get the movie if you read the book first. Unfortunately, that is a sign for a bad movie.
In summary, it is Ok for fans of the genre, but it is regrettable that they did not manage to exploit the potential of the package.

'In the Lost Lands' is oddly one that didn't do it for me. I say oddly because I really enjoyed all of the cast here, it's just the story that totally failed to claw me in; I honestly would struggle to give you a suitable recap of the plot even so soon after watching it.

Those onscreen, however, are all pluses. Dave Bautista is good, so is Milla Jovovich. Arly Jover works, as do Amara Okereke and Fraser James. Simon Lööf is the weakest main cast member and even he is fine. It is rare for me to not like a film where the cast bring positive displays.

The world built and the effects used looked pleasing enough to me too, it really is just the plot that hampers this one for me personally. That's a shame, really. It feels like a missed opportunity.
