I really liked the movie, and I loved the aliens that my friends and I thought were adorable!
Pattinson is a hell of an actor - he played two characters who are literally the same person, but still managed to give each one a distinct uniqueness.
There are some really funny parts, I laughed a lot at Ruffalo's clear satire of... well, we know who.
I also really enjoyed Ackie's performance—I had only seen her work in 'The End of the F***ing World', and she's improved a lot.
I recommend watching it!"

'Mickey 17' is a blast! What a fun time at the cinema this was. It delivers a super engaging plot, an excellent cast and some tremendous special effects. I, like almost everyone, love Bong Joon Ho's 'Parasite', but personally I'd rank this one of his higher.

That's likely a personal thing, this is more entertaining and highly likely more rewatchable; that named 2019 flick is quality, but I can't say I've had any inkling to revisit it since I watched it in 2020. Again, just me; it'll obviously vary person-to-person. Two great films, all the same.

Robert Pattinson is brilliant as the titular character, he kills it (ba dum tss) all the way through. Naomi Ackie is as terrific though, she is smashing it in recent years; hard to separate her fantastic performances in 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody', 'Blink Twice' and this.

Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette and Steven Yeun are super in their respective roles too. Top notch casting! Anna Mouglalis voices the leader of the Creepers, who I thought looked outstanding. Awesome effects. The whole look (and sound) of this movie is first-rate. Loved it.

everyone was just amazing, especially Robert Pattinson and Nasha, the underlying messages and the way Bong Joon Ho is consistent with this style throughout his movies is amazing to me, the same themes were present in Okja, as well as Parasite, love it, excellent delivery, and great visuals & acting, so many great moments, Nasha's outburst WAS JUST PERFECT. and that jump attack into headlock? perfection. plus so many more great moments

the underlying messages, and how those rich and in power folks were just straight up delusional and absolutely absorbed in their stupidity, facing extinction? yeah, let's talk about bringing out a camera crew and shoot a historical scene, sure
& so much more

This was a very interesting but strange film found it very unique not something you see in any film I’ve seen and quite hard to review.

It’s about humans going to a planet called Niflheim trying to lean more about it so a recruit a guy called Mickey Barnes who hasn’t got much to lose after his business failed and was in trouble on earth so he decides to accept a job where he dies over and over but gets printed back out with his memory’s still there, so the science department can learn more about the planet.

The one in charge of this expedition is called Kenneth Marshall him and his wife who are terrible people hired Mickey because they thought he was “expendable”

Mark Ruffalo was really a great villain in this while he was a terrible person he was funny his voice was hilarious definitely a role I’ve never seen him in.

Mickey did find a girl named Nasha who got him through the times where he had to die over and over.

He had to test if the planets air was breathable then the team was exploring when they come across a creature who later they call “Creepers” they shot at them as they thought they could be dangerous.

Mickey got blamed for one of the team members death and got sent back out on his own which he fell through the ice but somehow survived his former friend Timo found him but decided not to help him as he wasn’t like Mickey who just get another body if he died so he left him.

The Creepers turned up and started dragging Mickey away he thought they was going to kill him but they actually save his life and try communicating with him. He managed to get on a vehicle passing by and gets back to the base but finds himself “clone” in his place which is number 18.

Mickey 18 is a lot more confident and aggressive than Mickey 17 who is more nervous person because there two of them the law is there’s not allowed to be 2 version’s and both would be killed if found out so Mickey 18 tries to kill 17 before he does they get interrupted by Timo so they hide.

18th Mickey goes back to his room to be with Nasha obviously Mickey 17 thinks she’s only his as 18 is a different version of him do he tries to get back there ,but gets called to see Kenneth Marshall and his wife they try saying they feel bad for blaming him for the team members death and give him food, Gemma who was also on the team who’s girlfriend died arrives there and Mickey starts being sick as they tricked him and using him to experiment the food ,they was going to kill him and just reprint as they didn’t know there was two of him but he says he’s okay and Gemma takes him too her Room.

Gemma tries to make Mickey feel better and tried kissing him but he’s still in love with Nasha so he leaves goes back to the room where he finds a drugged up Mickey 18 and Nasha who doesn’t seem freaked out by there being two of them in fact she likes it and starts kissing them both they eventually get seen by Gemma who runs and was going to report them being multiples but says agree to keep it quiet if she gets Mickey 17.

Kenneth Marshall comes on tv and gets a massive rock the science team found open but he didn’t realise there was creepers inside so everyone starts panicking Mickey 18 grabs a gun and says he’s going to kill Kenneth Marshall Nasha and 17 chase after him stop him, one of the guards kill one of the creepers which was very sad part and capture one of them. Mickey 18 shots at Marshall but misses and everyone sees there’s too mickey’s and arrest both of them and Nasha.

After the one of the creepers were killed the mother and thousands of them gather around the base at this time both of the mickey’s and Nasha are locked up but Timo turns up and says he’s needs one of the Mickey’s help him get out of trouble so he takes Mickey 17.

Kenneth and his team thinks the creepers are going to attack so they think of a plan and they decide that they are going to gas them like the gas they Mickey 17 had when they was experimenting on him.
They get the creeper they captured earlier and Mrs Marshall cuts its tail of as they want to use they blood as sauce.

We later find out the Creepers aren’t looking for war and just want the baby creeper back The Marshalls threaten to kill it Nasha gets free and saves the baby creeper from being killed but they make Mickey 17,18 go outside and get as many creeper tails as possible and they have both got a bomb attached to them so they couldn’t try anything.

They made there way through the herd of creepers to the mother creeper who they can communicate with through technology the science department made for them was really funny to hear them speak and what they had to say the mother Creeper says she doesn’t want war and just wants the baby creeper and one human to die to make up for the one creeper who got shot, Mickey17,18 tell her there’s a poisonous gas that’s going to kill thrm all if they don’t leave.

Kenneth’s team persuade him to go out and get filmed against the battle against the creatures as it will make him look good he agrees and go of with the poisonous gas to find the mother creeper but all of them gather in groups so they can’t tell the actual mother is, Mickey 17 get the baby to the mother and Mickey 18 goes after Marshall to stop him at first is hesitant but decides to sacrifice himself and kill Marshall after agreeing to the deal for Mickey 17 and creepers.

Love the character development for Mickey 18 as when he first came into it he was just viscous and aggressive and only cared about himself but as the film went on he comes more like Mickey 17 which I really liked.

And as for Robert Pattinson I after say just wow is acting is incredible in this film and in general is growth over the last few years is amazing and is quickly becoming one of my favourites.

Omg sorry for the long review this was a very interesting film and so many key scenes to it definitely see it being one of my favourites of the year.

10/10

Amazingly relevant. It feels like the plot is the exact current moment but in the future. The story is entertaining with immaculate acting by everyone involved. The fact that the movie was able to turn a mildly disturbing creature into such an adorable thing speaks the skill of everyone involved in the making of this movie.

Really good! You can just relax and watch a funny movie, but if you look closer you can see the policital commentary, which is a great concept in my opinion. Love that it's also a sci-fi movie and I really liked the characters.

Amazing movie! Very well acted, entertaining and original. I wish it would have been a tv show, as this setting and world would have been amazing for extra side stories.

I watched it, only to see the hypothesis of a programmatically categorized individs as their chance of normal lives been eliminated, pushed into separated lower classes off the home world, to be pulled in service of weak ass corporate structures, while showing insane level of incompetence, for in reality the ship, the crew and the personal on any colony, will be slaughtered like animals in minutes the moment they meet a hostile alien species whose interests has been violated... Proving the inherit weak structure of corporate structuring which is capable of abuse on high levels and class separation, while totally incapable in real scenarios, where government structures and imperial governance of united gov structures are the only things capable to support interplanetary operational capabilties of united operations, failure to understand that means absolute wipe out of any outpost ships and the home world, if the whole operational case is not managed by total government control of the human united imperium of supposed human empire when the case is in the state of interplanetary. Corporate case which is not under the strict government support as regulation, is doomed to absolute failure and a threat to the survival of the species itself as their mistakes will lead back to the homeworld and can be catastrphic. This is a lightning example of weakness, stupidity, corruption and greed.. which in real case scenarios, leads to extinction. Liked to see that, very much.

I severely enjoyed this. Robert Pattinson is absolutely incredible and his talents are often reduced to a role he played over a decade ago, but this film shows his truly magnificent capabilities as an actor. The shift in physicality between the Mickeys, the strength of his performance acting against himself. He's a strong talent that has really shown how good he can be over the last few years. Mark Ruffalo was brilliant, his acting was strong and you could really feel exactly what he was going for. As always, Bong Joon Ho's writing and directing was impeccable, I've loved every film of his that I've seen. He knows the messages he wants to convey and he knows exactly how to convey them. He's a generational talent and his name will be remembered for as long as film exists.
