Really enjoyed this one. The story is compelling, the main characters have faults. Secondary characters could have had more depth, but I really liked Angela Regan, the defendant's lawyer.
I also enjoyed the shots, I feel they helped make me feel the emotions of the characters on screen. I think it had some very interesting shots to be honest, but I would not be surprised if some people found them obnoxious...
Also, there should be a **trigger warning for
sexual assault
**.
Really enjoyed this show.. wasn't sure when I started watching it, but glad I gave it a shot.
9.5/10 - for the cinematography, compelling script, brilliant direction and acting.
Really enjoyed this. Great acting and a good story.
This is quite a remarkable dramatic series. The writing is complex, the characters are flawed, the morality is grey. The acting is great, every actor is a recognizably part of the who’s who of UK stage and screen. (The UK have working actors who show up to ply their trade whether it is for four months or a day). The plot is contemporary and surprising. I am usually pretty good at predicting a twist but, not only did I not anticipate a twist, but when it arrived, I only saw it seconds before it was revealed. I give this series an 8 (remarkable) out of 10. [Courtroom Drama]
Don't read any further, unless your ready for lot's of SPOILERS in my review!
A very clever story with well intertwined twists.
A really neat and tidy ending.
James gets what he deserved, Sophia did the right thing, James felt entitled and hiding the truth came to easy.
Holly/Kate, didn't see that coming until the second to last episode. Yes, the scribble and the Highlighters did give it away. Good ending to a very good show, well worth a watch :thumbsup_tone1:
A good show, and certainly much better than I expected it to be. I must say, I absolutely loved some of the interior design.
_Anatomy of a Scandal_ is a well crafted series that kept my interest. The show tells the story of a high-profile sexual assault case and the legal and personal battles that follow. The writing is fantastic, as the show expertly navigates complex themes like power, privilege, and consent. The series is both thought-provoking and emotionally gripping.
A moderately interesting and adequately produced courtroom thriller, with good actors and a director that seems to feel the need to make it more interesting through random visual flourishes because otherwise the writing wouldn't be enough. And he may be right. The best parts of it are the clothes and Sienna Miller.
Good camera work, acting and script. I enjoyed how they played out this story. It didn't blow my mind, but it was well done.
