It's been a while since I've seen an action movie as good as Die Hard, good action, good story and good acting.
Incredible. Loved Jason Bateman as the bad guy, loved Taron Egerton as the underdog. It was fast paced where it needed to be and kept me guessing. I found it fun to watch and clever, will be on my accidental Christmas film list to rewatch.
Great movie that I wasn’t expecting. Definite Die Hard vibes.
Really enjoyable, an exciting thriller from start to finish
This was a fantastic way to spend Christmas - very Die Hard vibes. Loved the sound track and was a thrill throughout. Some questionable situations/decisions but suspension of disbelief & you'll enjoy it.
I wonder what Egerton's 100m time is?! He looks swift!
On the edge of my seat whole time. Some things unrealistic but great movie.
Excellent Action Thriller, super entertaining from beginning to end, it is not a deep movie but it is entertaining with good acting, especially the villain, and 2 very good plot twists, full recommended to pass the time.
'Carry-On' is a movie that gave me the required entertainment, I found it all to be extremely watchable. There are one or two moments within the first hour that had me questioning how they were going to stretch interest for events onscreen for just short of two hours, but pleasantly they most certainly do.
Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman give excellent performances, I think even without just one or the other the film wouldn't work as nicely - they are the keys to its success, for me. That's not to say it's a production that only relies on its acting talent, because this felt well written; they make the predicament/actions of the characters justified.
I have no doubt that the film uses plenty of artistic licence, as per with movies, but that's something I have zero issue with - as long as it makes the plot more enjoyable, which most definitely is the case here in my opinion. Going back to the cast, nice to see Dean Norris involved; Danielle Deadwyler and Theo Rossi are positives as well.
Best way to sum this up: 'Die Hard' meets 'Toy Story 2'. I mean, come on, who doesn't wanna see that?!
This film is an explosive combo of tension, action, and edge-of-the-seat emotions. Taron Egerton shines as the TSA agent caught in a life-or-death dilemma, and Jason Bateman surprises with his performance as the charismatic and manipulative antagonist. Sofia Carson and Danielle Deadwyler complement the plot with performances that add depth and emotion to the story.
The plot, set during Christmas Eve, not only generates suspense, but also highlights the struggle between duty, fear, and hope in a claustrophobic and adrenaline-filled setting. A film that keeps you hooked from beginning to end.
What would you do if you were in a dilemma like this during the holidays?
