This movie left a huge impression on me. I was very pleased to discover that this movie was more enjoyable to watch than the first one, and I loved the first one! Inside Out 2 is what I feel to be a rare case in animation where everything was improved for the sequel: Cast, Story, Soundtrack, even the animation, which was definitely a highlight of this film in that it creatively intertwined multiple different styles similar to that of Spider-verse. 10/10, absolutely fantastic movie. I hope Pixar can keep this momentum up.

One of the best sequels that Disney has produced.

This movie made me feel nostalgic and took me back to when I was a teenager, and for a while it also made me feel worried and helpless, because it was like I wanted to do something for Riley, in which I saw the little me, the me teenager who just needed to be told that he was okay the way he was. In my opinion it is a truly beautiful film that made me emotional and that invited me to accept myself as I am and that all emotions are important and that we need them, and that it is normal to make mistakes and feel sad or angry, or anxious the it is important to embrace all emotions and not set aside any of them because we need them all. I've loved Disney since I was little, I grew up with it and it has never disappointed me until today. ❤😍

Besides the visuals, which are definitely beautiful, this is such an educative movie. It won't blow your mind or anything, but it's a great way to learn about emotions.
It should be played in schools. Actually, it should be played everywhere so that adults get to watch it too.

This is not a children’s movie; it’s so deep and real that everyone should watch it.

Man o Man I love Pixar! It did it again. The movie was so beautiful. It had everything. I made you laugh , it made you cry , it made you think. What a beautiful movie .

The best part about these movies is that you actually connect with the character - which so many movies try so hard and yet fail.

That is why I love Pixar.
I don't know what others say but this was a solid 10/10 for me

While some might argue that it doesn’t revolutionize or bring a cacophony of creative new ideas to the forefront like the first did, I’d argue that since the first movie does much of the heavy lifting of establishing how the “brain” works (worldbuilding), Inside Out 2 really doubles down on the more important aspect: the characters, or rather, the emotions. More specifically, Anxiety and, surprisingly, Ennui are both handled in a way that is so precisely perfect, I’m almost tempted to say they are the best aspects of this movie by themselves. But there is a lot more to this movie than just those additions.

While this story is a little bit smaller in scale than the first, the gravitas it wields is far larger. Inside Out was about growing up and how change can be hard. Inside Out 2 is about growing up and how change can be hard, where beliefs come from, being okay and accepting oneself in the confusion, and a lot of other things as well.

The first movie has a way of interweaving the fun and heartache of what makes people work into hilarious, impactful, and wonderful scenes while this second movie does so with larger ideas, themes that are bigger than mere emotions, and has a way of therapeutically reminding its viewers that emotions, big and small, are important; and they can also be very difficult to handle. I loved how they utilized the ideas of belief, unwanted memories, and what denial does to us. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this displayed more eloquently and sensitively.

Inside Out 2 takes the frenetic chaos, confusion, and sheer insanity that is puberty and makes an effective showcase of it all within a narrative that is just as touching as the first despite having a few hiccups. Is it a perfect film? No. Is it still utterly effective at expressing the message it tries to? Absolutely. Instead of bringing myriads of new ideas about the psyche to the forefront in terms of “worldbuilding,” it doubles down on the message of humans being messy and the turmoil it wreaks on one’s brain and physiology. Those that say that this isn’t as good as the first movie aren’t wrong in taking issue with it being a bit clunky, a bit fast, and a little less magical, but despite this, it is still beyond incredible at telling a story in an entertaining, impactful, difficult, and heart wrenching way nonetheless. I was very concerned that Pixar would be unable to match Inside Out’s quality and I could not have been more delighted by Inside Out 2 being exactly what it needed to be in every way.

Did they just replace the "core memories" plot device with the "belief system"? It seemed like the same thing.
