The Ides of March

I did not expect anything from this movie - and I was blown away. GREAT movie :)

Solid movie. Great plot and well executed, definitely recommend it.

Everything can be political issue on the road to the highest goal.

Surprisingly well-written, however I feel it could've been even tighter if it was penned by someone like Aaron Sorkin.
Very topical, [spoiler]considering the fact that the DNC are now employing similar tactics (backing far-right Republican nominees that they deem easier to defeat).[/spoiler]

I really really enjoyed this film. The cast was fantastic - Gosling, Clooney, Giamatti and Hoffman. While it was billed as a political thriller it was more a study of what politics can do to good and well-meaning people.

_The Ides of March_ offers a fascinating look into the world of political campaigns, and the film's examination of the moral compromises and behind-the-scenes maneuvering that often occur is both engrossing and thought-provoking. The performances by the lead actors, including Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, and Philip Seymour Hoffman, are excellent and add to the film's authenticity and believability. The plot is well-paced and keeps you engaged from throughout, with several twists and turns that keep you guessing.

Good movie with great perfomances but i felt like something was missing especially in the end..Worths a watch just to see the dirty side of politics.. 7.0/10

I was a bit disappointed by this movie to be honest. I expected the story to be a bit more involving. It's an interesting plot and the actors are reasonably good, but I was hoping for even more intrigue and drama.

Politics is a dirty game, no matter what party is in charge. This movie highlights the behind-the-scenes bs that happens and how everyone plays dirty tricks to get ahead. I was expecting more of a thriller but this was "aight".
