A missed opportunity to include "I Want To Be Your Slave" by Måneskin ("Cause you could be the beauty and I could be the monster") to soundtrack on this Italian Twilight. 😄 If it was up to me, I'd totally play it every time Rigel appears on screen. Just kidding, a perfect fit would have been
his entrance to the dance party.
While actors chemistry was good, the story was pretty much incomplete, superficial, and incredibly rushed towards the end. About halfway through the movie, there were cuts that didn't make any sense, logic flew out of the window, plot was shattered to pieces, side characters left out, or turned into stereotypical, one-dimensional villains
(read: Lionel)
just to highlight the main couple. Main villain was left an empty shell as well, without back story or motivation (nothing but stereotypical villain tyranny yay!)

That said, while not taking it too seriously, I kind of enjoyed watching. Rating 6, purely due to actors chemistry.

I loved the characters but I didn’t like the story much, it was lacking for me, the trial was not very explained, I excepted better but I still liked it

It sure was nice of the director to put so much effort into a tween's first fan fiction.

Nah, jokes aside, I don’t know how old the author of the original story is and I haven’t read the book, but this particular story on the screen was a lot of teenage angst and problems created where there were none.
I get it, the pair were fucked up from being mistreated at the orphanage but that didn’t really create a forbidden love. They were allowed to like each other. Certainly once they left the orphanage there was no need to pretend otherwise. Even early on in the orphanage there was no reason for Rigel to pretend to outright hate Nica. If he could be nice to her _without_ her knowledge, he could have been nice to her _with_ her knowledge too, and it could have just been kept on the down low, _as it already was being._

When they were kids:
>
“Nica is convinced that you hate her.”
>
“And she has to stay like this.”

_Why?!_ What would happen if she knew Rigel actually liked her and was only pretending not to because he felt forced to? Outside Nica feeling a little less shitty with all the shit she was dealing with.

After their adoption, Rigel kept licking and groping Nica while insisting she stay away. Their attraction for one another was so abundantly clear to them both, yet he seriously expected her to listen to him while he was practically making out with her. Talk about mixed signals. It was maddening to watch. He was so torn up worrying about hurting her, yet every time he did, it was purely by his own choice with no actual reasoning behind it. Margaret wasn’t there standing over him and making him do any of it. He was nice to her in secret beforehand and now he didn't have to. He came with her to be with her. So dude, be with her?
>
“Why haven’t you told her you came here in order to be with her?”
>
“She always dreamed of finding a family. I won’t be the one to take that away.”

But you will be the one to immediately taint it by mistreating and confusing her in her new family home?

Also, who else testified against Margaret? I highly doubt Nica's inspirational speech did the trick all on its own, but the way those scenes played out implies so.
Lastly, the writers hinted at other character story lines, got us interested, and then didn’t bother.
I immediately guessed correctly when it came to those white roses.
I really wish they’d explored that plot line more. It was super cute and it’s a shame to leave such a gem without a chance to shine.

So much things that were not explained. The characters had great chemistry, but everything outside that was lacking. Margaret was not explained. The side characters were abandoned, totally non playable characters. I did not understand why they create a story for those girls and did not make anything out of it, it did not make any sense in the plot. Very bad honestly.

Is soooo bad😭😭 i saw it when i just finished the book and it has nothing to do with it. The book is a piece of art guys, this is sh*t

They don't explain ANYTHING about the story, everything happens so fast that you don't connect with the characters and their story, the actors and their acting are terrible.
Is just ridiculous.
