Few films manage to convey such authenticity and capture emotional nuances in such a natural way. The story is excellent, different and fluid, with intense dynamics and dialogues between the characters and a lot of closeness, which reinforces the feeling of immersion, highlighting a unique expressiveness, rich in detail and sincerity in each scene. Surreal elements and the striking representation of animals add symbolic layers to the narrative. All this is complemented by an impeccable soundtrack, which makes the scenes even more memorable.
This movie was a blend of Tuesday, The Florida Project, and Your Monster. It was endearing, sad, heartbreaking, uplifting, all under the veil of magical realism. I enjoyed it.
It has a nice photography, but the continuous instability of the camera took me completely out of the film, it was confusing.
It's a nice story although I expected more depth in the protagonist, you really discover her environment, what her life consists of, her unstructured family, but I don't see a solid transformation beyond the final metaphor.
The harshness of the situation in which she finds herself before the plot is the same as at the end, it tries to show that Bird's determination has influenced her, acquiring his features (eyes), but I don't see how it has happened, what has changed in her.
