Surprisingly enjoyable to watch. Stallone brought a flair of strength to the film while Patrick tried to stood his ground and save his son.

The problem with Armor is how low budgeted it was. The feel of made for cable movie/direct to video B movie was very strong. I bet Stallone had words of advise being a director and writer himself, which upgraded Armor from cheap action to dramatic action.

Armor (2024) - ❤x5

Sly's movies are getting worse and worse. This is clearly just a paycheck movie for him - he's nothing more than a glorified extra here. Jason Patric had the job here that Stallone would have normally had in years past.

How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Poor story, bad acting, terrible cgi and special effects. If sly wasn’t in it I wouldn’t have finished watching it

I'm afraid it's the "late Bruce Willis" kind of movie. The story is weak, special effects are very cheap, I can continue. The only reason anybody would watch this movie is because Sly is in it. And unlike his character in the movie, he actually got paid quite well for one day work. But I've seen worse, so I give it a bit more than it deserves.

Stallone nowhere to be found until 30min in, and very likely shot in one or two days (based on how it looks: he's always in one location, and usually alone). He's probably in it for the money, he seems half-asleep most of the time. Poorly directed, especially the confused action scenes (couldn't tell where people were shooting from, the silenced gun is louder than the non-silenced). Not much interesting camerawork but a lot of shaky cam and so many drone shots. Still, the script has a dark noir feel, and the plot somehow roped me along successfully. A four star movie but a Tubi six.

Why Sly did you do this? He is wonderful in almost all of his projects but this? Slow and pointless.

The premise is forced, with situations that are completely absurd, sacrificing the realism that the movie should have. The performances are weak and the characters stereotypical and empty. The editing is terrible, with poorly fitted scenes and inopportune cuts that interrupt the few moments of action, without contributing to the main narrative. Everything is weak and lost, resulting in an extremely frustrating and unconvincing movie.

‘Armor’, starring Sylvester Stallone, has subpar CGI effects, particularly concerning gunshot wounds and muzzle flashes. These visual shortcomings detract from the overall experience, making the film less enjoyable as a piece of popcorn entertainment. Additionally, the film suffers from a weak plot and lackluster action sequences, leading to a disappointing viewing experience.
