The scriptwriter knows exactly how to end a story with a tearful climax. Not only that, even the ending leaves us flabbergasted.

Although the film is long, the eye-pleasing cinematography and the slow yet neatly arranged plot keep us as viewers interested in watching the film until the end.

This is inseparable from the director's slick execution. The director shows his skill in arranging every element of the film, including the forward-backward plot which is executed without any forced impression.

Not to forget, the slick scoring also plays a role in raising emotions in every scene. Not only in emotional scenes, even in "calm" scenes, the scoring manages to keep the atmosphere interesting and not boring.

The use of color grading is also very fitting in depicting the difference in time. Yellow represents the past, while blue represents the present. This color grading is not only used to differentiate time, but also to show the difference in mood or feelings of the main character.

Not to forget, appreciation also needs to be given to **Greg Han Hsu** who plays the character Jimmy. **Greg** successfully brings the figure of Jimmy aged 18 and 36 years very well. His acting feels natural, as if **Greg** is Jimmy himself. Not only **Greg**, all the actors in this film also bring their characters well.

Such a beautiful movie. Didn't expect to enjoy it so much. An absolute gem with a little dive into Taiwanese and Japanese people's lives.
