• The script has a clumsy rhythm and a style somewhat similar to the early works of Yoji Yamada, relying on interpersonal relationships and coincidences to drive the story. It now seems very contrived with too many traces of small theater.
• Mai Shiraishi’s acting is truly deplorable when contrasted with the performances of the three senior actors.
• A very nice and joyful family-friendly production for the New Year.
