Excellent film. Christopher has much nostalgia for this and it really held up.

Megan did not expect this level of trauma (oops), however she enjoyed it. Also points for an excellent credits song and memorable music.

>“I'll be in your heart, Littlefoot. Let your heart guide you.”

This wrecked me as a kid. And because we had very few movies we owned, The Land Before Time got to wreck me on a monthly basis for a while. Years later, I finally checked out this short movie again, and it brought back emotions. I want to thank Don Bluth for shaping my childhood, and James Horner for the brilliant soundtrack. Adding one star because of the soundtrack.

Boy has it been a while since I have seen these movies! The original is undoubtedly a great children's film, with a bunch of heart, darker themes, and lovable characters! I plan to eventually watch all 14(?) of these films, but I am not sure any will be as good as the first!

This came out when I was 5 and when I got the vhs I played it on loop. Rewatching it now at 40 and it feels like revisiting my hometown. Everything's the same as it was, but I'm different.

That said, I still cried like when I was 5 at certain parts.
